Absolutely insane. Uneblieveable. "Sex Matters", one of the hate groups responsible for removing trans people's rights via the Supreme Court are arguing that trans people shouldn't be allowed to transition because they don't have rights and not having rights is bad. Fucking hell

Thinking of the time Hitchcock telephoned Simenon to discuss movie ideas from his fiction. The maid answered: 'I am sorry sir, Monsieur is in his study. He is writing a novel.' 'That's alright,' said Hitchcock. 'I'll wait.'

This is peak performance. We could all learn a lot here

just found out for whom the bells tolls....absolutely fuming

If you email me and don't promptly get a reply, please be patient. On busy days I receive as many as seven emails and it's simply impossible to keep up. Nevertheless I strive to respond to one in three of them within eight weeks.

We got there. We did it! For 30 days I’ve been sharing a short story collection a day to celebrate my own short story collection, Saltburn, coming out. But this list is a celebration of all short stories. Which a lot of publishers see as a ‘challenge’ to sell. Please share, love, add. Enjoy❤️

@willwiles.bsky.social This is spectacular.

Physicists have created the "black hole bomb" from the beloved science fiction story "Please don't create the black hole bomb"

Happy "Petrarch Ascends Mont Ventoux" day to all who celebrate

He says forthcoming: but it's actually out now in paperback! www.gollancz.co.uk/titles/adam-...

Just finished The Anechoic Chamber by @willwiles.bsky.social Absolutely wonderful set of stories. Fully recommended.

Three fiction books I have devoured recently, for the record: Casey Plett's 'Little Fish', Vincenzo Latronico's 'Perfection', and Will Wiles' 'The Anechoic Chamber'. As I seem to have struggled with fiction lately, this is a very serious endorsement.

linkedin finally has a shitposter

Watched "The Menu" last night, which I enjoyed a great deal, regardless of its preposterous/preachy elements. Fiennes always good value; Hoult surprisingly sympathetic as a rotten little dweeb; ATJ, for all her splendid qualities, not really convincing as down to earth everyman interloper.

If you had any doubt about where transphobia leads, you only have to look to America, where it is already being used as a tool of fascism, as an early wedge in dehumanising larger and larger swathes of people. Trans rights are human rights. Attacks on trans rights are attacks on human rights. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

I love cooking and will happily spend an hour making dinner in the evenings. But when a microwave meal wants to be stirred halfway through AND get a teaspoon of water in the rice? It can f__k right off. Who the f__k does it think it is.

"The Dead Man's Empire" by WP Wiles, coming 2026

Love and solidarity to my trans friends. 🏳️‍⚧️ The law is an ass.
