My biological sex is female. It has changed Phenotype is orders of magnitude more important than genotype for everything from discrimination to healthcare to sexuality Chromosomes are meaningless and any law treating them as all sex is is wrong

In their reinterpretation of the Equality Act, the Supreme Court appears to have entirely ignored the *purpose* of the Equality Act and the plainly stated intent from Parliament at the time. As well as deliberately ignoring everyone affected by the ruling, yet consulting multiple hate groups.

Never forget.

"They should have had some humility about the limits of their own knowledge. That they chose not to is unforgivable." Blistering piece on Supreme Court verdict by @jolyonmaugham.bsky.social, commissioned for the Indy by @nakedvix.bsky.social (& edited by me) www.independent.co.uk/voices/trans...

This is probably unprecedented in U.K. legal history: 5 x hate groups allowed to give evidence. ALL applications from the targeted minority instantly and aggressively refused. Even playing Devils Advocate here, this is high corruption.

Big victory for the genomosexuals today. It is now illegal to self-ID a sexual orientation in the UK unless you can demonstrate the preternatural capability to directly perceive base pair sequences. The clarity this brings.

We’re sharing here a joint statement from LGBT leaders in the UK on today’s Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of a “woman”. www.consortium.lgbt/lgbt-sector-...

People need to understand that it won't matter what the specifics of thy UK supreme court decision are. The GCs control the media narrative and implementation of it in the labour government. It'll effectively mean legal segregation of trans people and the elimination of legal recognition such as IDs

Imagine if you were Black and a court was deciding your most fundamental rights and the jury were entirely KKK We were denied a voice every stage of this judicial farce by the ‘supreme’ court. Is there any precedent for this exclusion?

The U.K. Supreme Court are arrogant, entitled c*nts living in their own privileged echo-chamber, while all the time slapping themselves on the back and telling themselves how wonderfully unbiased they are! #CravenBigots 😣 goodlawproject.org/the-supreme-...

For the love of god… The UK Supreme Court has done the equivalent of accepting KKK arguments about black people.

Maybe once they're legislated out of existence, trans people will start being nicer to British newspaper columnists.

The UK supreme court today ruled that the terms ‘woman’ and ‘sex’ in the Equality Act refer to biological sex. Trump's Executive Order 14168, issued on 20 January, similarly proclaims to be ‘Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government’. Judith Butler: www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

I changed my sex and the british supreme court is so scared of it they have to pretend we don’t exist

The UK Supreme Court endorsed segregating trans people entirely out of public life. They can exclude trans women from single sex spaces on the basis of sex and then exclude trans men on the basis of gender reassignment. Effectively, it allows the legal exclusion of trans people from public life.

it's making me crazy that the uk court essentially ruled trans women are not women because you can't change your sex and trans men are not women because they did change their sex how can anyone take this shit seriously? It's a farce

Ah, the old "provides clarity" thing eh? Pink triangles and concentration camps provide clarity. #bbcpm

I don't know if there is a case to be brought before the European Court of Human Rights - but we have already asked the question of a KC. And, yes, if there is a decent case for a trans person to bring, we will help them bring it.

The UK has given up on Human Rights. Whoever you are, yours are getting taken away very soon if you don't do something.

Today has hit very hard. Very hard. I followed the rules, did everything by the book and trusted the law and parliament. The EA makes it clear that the point of transition is to change sex. A court ignored this listening only to anti trans activists and banning trans voices. Trust is gone.

I know there are many trans and non-binary people who will be feeling deeply worried today, caught in the midst of a media storm as they try to simply live their lives. Please know that I stand with you - today, tomorrow and always. My statement in response to the Supreme Court ruling today:

It shouldn't have to be like this. An entire minority shouldn't be sitting, terrified, that the UK Supreme Court is going to remove their rights off the back of a decade-long hate campaign. It shouldn't have to be like this.
