WYOMING: “Thank you, Madam chairman.” “I prefer ‘Mister’ chairman.” “Well you all voted preferred pronouns cannot be compelled speech.”

When you don't respond to Elon's email, that's termination. When Elon doesn't respond to your email, that's parenting.

In 2020, the military was adamant about refusing to get involved in the election. That's why Trump hates General Mark Milley so much. Now, Trump is transforming the military into one that will back him up in 2029. We need to figure out how to prepare for that eventuality.

Trump didn't just fire the four-star generals. He's also removing the JAGs for the Army, Navy and Air Force — critical positions that ensure enforcement of military justice. www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

Trump pardoned the sentence of arguably the single biggest drug trafficker in American history on his second day in office!

So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

Firing qualified top military officials because they are female or Black is exactly why we need DEI policies.

When FAA employees are telling us it’s not safe to fly, we should probably listen.

you could screen Idiocracy every single day in this WH and they would still experience it as a tribute concert

History repeats itself

I wrote this for The Hill eight years and one month ago. While the GOP was too fractured and incompetent to get it all done then, I'd say this holds up well, formatting issues aside: thehill.com/blogs/pundit...

it's like the beginning of an apocalyptic movie with scenes of people focused on a crazy gov't and entitled people living large and then flips to animals dying in pens and on farms and in the woods and streams and some scientist hiker finds a dead eagle and says...This is bad foreboding, man

"Most Americans don’t want to believe that their government is taking lifesaving medicine away from sick people in Africa, or betraying Afghans who sacrificed for this country" But it is. www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

The Trump plan seems to be let Russia take Ukraine (Georgia, Moldova, Baltics next), let China take Taiwan and dominate that part of the Pacific, give both Russia and China free hand to re-colonize Africa, kill off the CHIPs act, kill off research, and the US also becomes "a gas station with nukes."

This is who Republicans just made FBI Director. Kash Patel calls for “offensive operations” to jail Americans who they consider “the enemy.” “We will go out and find the conspirators... Yes, we are going to come after the people in the media”

Pete Hegseth is about to purge military officers—and make no mistake, this is 100% political retribution. 📌 Sec of Defense Pete Hegseth is planning to fire generals and top officers as soon as this week, per two Defense officials and three Congressional sources. Most of them tied to Lloyd Austin.

Not sure if this has been fully released by the WH but haven't noticed wide coverage in the MSM. This puts ALL power from executive branch agencies solely within the president. I doubt Congress will get off its butt and do anything about it. 😡 www.nytimes.com/2025/02/18/u...

Worse than appeasement. Appeasement is making concessions under threat, hoping that will avoid war (which is usually naive; they'll demand more). After 3 years of war and a million casualties, it's not appeasement. Trump is trying to help Russia's aggression achieve what Russia's military could not.

The House GOP budget plan that Trump has endorsed would cut Medicaid by about 10% and cut SNAP by about 20%. At the same time it would increase the deficit by $2.8 trillion to pay for tax cuts, mainly for the rich.

The Rule of Law is a binary choice; you either have justice or you don’t your rights are either protected by law or they aren’t Be very clear Trump and the GOP are Dismantling the Rule of Law and REMOVING YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS one by one FIGHT BACK

Golden retriever and duck playing with each other is the best thing I've seen today!!

Authoritarians in countries backsliding away from democracy learned not to cancel elections. Instead, they abuse state power to give themselves unfair advantages in elections, then cite their “victory” as a source of legitimacy. US is not really at risk of no elections. The risk is unfair ones.

I've recently heard, "But if the SAVE Act was true, everyone would be outraged." We're quite truly in a crisis of reality. People work very hard to avoid reckoning with harm in order to feel comfortable. Self-delusion is a coping mechanism, but it only exacerbates the destruction.

Next, they'll claim that all of this (Trump's "LONG LIVE THE KING!" post and its echoing) is a joke, a transparent trick they use repeatedly. As w/ Musk’s Nazi salute, they'll pretend for out-group audiences to be kidding or misunderstood, while the in-group recognizes that they are deadly serious.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

'Stealing food money from our soldiers': Troops going hungry as food budgets spent elsewhere: Millions of dollars meant to go toward feeding soldiers at U.S. Army bases are instead being redirected elsewhere, and it's unclear where those funds are going. Military.com recently reported that more…

Just now picking up my daughter’s Claudia’s Corgi, Gracie, from her spaying procedure from Friendship Animal Hospital in northwest DC. It turns out they are doing something amazing for people victimized by the insane government purges 👉

Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

Isabel Wilkerson, in "Caste..." mentions a collective narcissism: "some scholars apply it [narcissism] to the behavior of nations, tribes, and subgroups…groups trained to believe in their inherent sovereignty." The Christian nationalist and MAGA movements embody this notion-an 'us vs. them' mindset.
