Jeez. Boris Johnson is now on French radio saying “We forget all this now because it was two or three years ago but when we had the pandemic, thanks to Brexit we had the chance to do the vaccinations in England much earlier” I’ve debunked this absolute boll**** many times👇

Highly recommend reading this piece on the increasingly widespread use of PAs to replace doctors in the NHS. It’s an issue that horrifies many of us.

Another review for Bear Necessities has come in! Yay! Thank you so much to whoever took the time to write this out, I genuinely appreciate it! 🐻 www.thegreatbritishbookshop.co.uk/collections/...

Another great episode. Particularly liked the Doctor Who discussion. Who knew you could debate an issue, disagree without point scoring and come out with a perspective you hadn't considered before? These guys did. They knew Very well done 👏

Wrote a little bit about how we get from here to there, if our leaders decided they wanted to end the pandemic. First and foremost, we need honesty and communication. Then, we need resources, infrastructure, a regulatory framework, and liability. www.thegauntlet.news/p/what-would...

This is a heartbreaking story. A 16-year old was the only one wearing a mask at school to protect her immunocompromised mother. But she was bullied into unmasking and caught COVID, which infected and killed her mother.

Really good summary of why the increasing reliance on PAs should give everyone cause for concern

Becoming a GP - MRCGP - Exams, e-portfolio, work place assessments - an extremely difficult process - min 10 years I should know, I have helped over 60 candidates, some after multiple attempts Yet RCGP leaders/GMC/NHSE/Govt want PAs to bypass this seeing undifferentiated patients This must stop

Now might be a good time to announce that our next major app update will have video. 👀 More details soon!

THREAD: I asked what the point of Public Inquiries is for @bmj_latest We've spent hundreds of millions of £ on Inquiries over last decades, generating deep understanding of failures & 1000s of recommendations. But v few recommendations get implemented! What is going on? 1/12
