Little secret: They close the library before sunset because 38 men were hanged there and the ghosts come out after dark.
Little advice: Don't try to break up street fights, it just invites the fighters to attack you too.

I'm definitely that way, and my ratio was 5:1 last year.
I also read about equal parts Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and other novels.
I feel like I have a harder time getting into a book if the setting is too close to something else I just read, so bouncing around really helps me feel immersed.

Every one of those is appealing! It'll be fun for me to finish them before your book arrives here in the USA.

Abbie Richards does public education about conspiracy theories, and I have found her videos really useful for starting conversations with people who have embraced misinformation. abbierichards.bsky.social

My favorites are Fantasy novels that aren't too dark. Lately I've really been enjoying cozy slice-of-life stories. And I absolutely loved the tone of The Last Post!

What romance novel would your recommend for someone who doesn't usually read them but who has preordered your book about them?

Off the top of my head:
- Movement speed
- Jump height
- Triple jump
- Turn rate
- Slower fall rate if holding jump while falling
Some of these might be bad choices because they'd make challenges harder/impossible, depending on your existing design.

The English translation of the novel was published in 2003, and was acclaimed enough I was assigned it in school in 2004.
Wikipedia says it was among 7 books Stephen King recommended in an Entertainment Weekly Summer Reading List.
IMO if Collins didn't read it, someone who did described it to her.

Now that you mention it, I ought to have written, "Up to 20." That's how many fit within the character limit if the only thing you write is Jeff Gerstmann. Sadly, more than 20 won't fit without abbreviations or omissions.

If you watch or listen to the Jeff Gerstmann Show podcast you'll get to hear him introduce the host.
You might be surprised to learn that the host has consistently been one Jeff Gerstmann.
I don't take him for granted. I have really enjoyed the energy that Mr. Jeff Gerstmann brings to the show.

I would respect if they paid an artist to do negative caricatures. I'm surprised that they didn't feed the pictures through a filter to make them ugly.

Network infighting killed it. They barely (and poorly) marketed it, put it on Sunday night, then moved it to a different night after a handful of episodes.

NSAIDs have a ceiling of effectiveness, so I use acetaminophen as a supplementary drug if I have already taken aspirin/ibuprofen/naproxen and still experience significant pain. A standard dose of acetaminophen on top of a maximum dose of ibuprofen let me concentrate at work with a broken shoulder.

I could guess $640 too high for this year, but I tried to look up what the 2025 to 2026 carryover amount will be, and could not find it. Guess I'll guess.

From my perspective as a person with a degree in Political Science, the Democrats are an entrenched party which supports the status quo in most areas and is plenty conservative to anchor the right side of the political spectrum.
We could easily have a party of pacifict socialists to their left.

The Old Man and the Sea is 28,000 words, so a typical high school reader (200 words per minute) can knock it out in 2 to 2.5 hours. That's also how quickly most people read aloud.
The Sun Also Rises is more than twice as long.

John McCain had publicly talked about selecting a Democrat as a running mate, but he's the most recent viable Republican who did that I am aware of.

The last successful unity ticket was Lincoln/Johnson. It makes sense if you want to appeal to disenchanted people on the other side, or those who dislike the usual way politics go.
Who do you think would be a funny nomination? A reality TV star to counterbalance Trump?

There are few additional voters who would turn out to vote because Pete Buttigieg was on the ticket. A VP who shores up a perceived weakness and helps more in a swing state is the usual tactic.
The boldest and funniest choice would be an anti-Trump Republican...
What's Mike Pence up to these days?
