“radical rewilding and conventional agriculture are so often starkly contrasted across an almost Cartesian divide, yet here we find a practice that segues organically into both.” Interesting piece on ‘agricultural rewilding’👇

This summer my ERC colleagues Paula Alexiou, Julia Brekl, Emilie Köhler and I published an article in which we asked how we can politicise multispecies studies in order to account for the injustices in Southern Africa's postcolonial conservation landscapes www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1...

“What is called the Anthropocene is just the recognition of the artificiality of the natural—like Burgundy itself, the land, and the wine.” Great piece on Bruno Latour’s background and thinking (philosophical and religious; natural and artificial) www.jhiblog.org/2024/10/28/a...

Had some great presentations and discussions on rewilding, wildlife disease and conflict at the Pathways conference this week. Really enjoyed the exchange of insights on foot-and-mouth disease, african swine fever, trypanosomiasis and more!
