When people ask me why I’ll never live in my home state again.

Can’t hurt to add a little more good energy to the universe ahead of my bowel resectioning surgery Wednesday.

Made some little spell bottles for “trinket trading” in case I’m able to go to the Renaissance festival again next month after surgery. I’m not really a spell jar person for my practice but they’ll be super cute trinkets!

My latest Substack newsletter is out.

My latest substack newsletter talks about how to (legally) access research for free, why peer review matters, and how you might apply what you learn to your witchcraft.

🚨 Free Zine! 🚨 I made my first zine, my take on practicing witchcraft from the SASS (secular, agnostic/atheist, skeptical, science-seeking) perspective. There’s a suggested $2 donation, but please feel free to download for free, and share! daylinamiller.itch.io/sass-witchcr...

I haven’t done a decent selfie in a hot minute but I was really feeling myself during a ritual over our very chilly weekend.

Spent a cup-filling weekend with my covenmates with several rituals, exploration of various forms of divination, and fireside chats. While I believe in the importance of staying informed about what’s happening in the world around us, it’s also important to protect our peace and bask in joy.

1/2 As we continue to build witch community, a good reminder that not all of us are women. If you want to specifically connect to other women, that’s great! But if your posts use only feminine language because you assume we are all women, that’s a problem.

I need my witch siblings to do a whole better about AI images in 2025. Don’t post them and don’t show hospitality to those that do. We do magick, we don’t need to use the plagiarism machine that boils lakes. #witchsky

Witchcraft rooted in love shouldn’t mean silencing the oppressed. It should mean amplifying their voices, standing beside them, and challenging the systems that harm them. Anything else is just privilege in a cloak. Don’t expect us to play nice. #noteverywitch #witchcraftsky #witchesfightback

"The problem with the 'energy doesn't lie' and 'trust your gut' expressions is they don't account for how social conditioning, prejudice, fear of change, trauma, and anxiety can feel like inner guidance. Exploring our feelings with discernment is key so we learn to tell the difference." -DurgadasAD

Hey #Witch, a reminder: #Witchcraft has always been political. It elevates Trans, Queer, Black, Indigenous, Latin, Asian voices & beyond. We don’t stand with oppressors or ignore injustice. We fight, we rise, we resist. Period. Who are you standing with? #gaywitch #occult #pagan #hexthemagats

My response to witch and spiritual claims of divine retribution, ascension, and conspiracy theories when it comes to the California wildfires. TL;DR: The climate science is clear.

I didn’t plan on making a second post this week, but felt the need to respond to some posts in the spiritual and witchcraft communities in reference to the California wildfires.

While reading up on the California fires (my heart goes out to everyone affected), it’s a good time to remind yourself that this incident is directly linked to climate change, indiscriminate building, and fascism. I’m already seeing conspiracy theories floating around in the witchcraft community.

Hey witches! Like/Repost this if you are into #Witchcraft #Brujería #Magick #FolkMagic and/or #Paganism 🖤 Let's build together a really diverse and safe space for all practitioners, especially bipoc and trans #witches and #brujas looking for support. Ty Witches!

OPINION: X’s Community Notes feature is not the success that tech leaders want you to believe. A similar system won’t stop misinformation on Facebook. Here’s why Meta’s attempt at crowdsourced fact-checking won’t work. (From MediaWise director @alexmahadevan.com) www.poynter.org/commentary/2...

Want to bring your witchcraft and Activism together? Here's a reading list I compiled (constantly updated) ko-fi.com/post/The-Act... #witchsky #activism #decolonize #witchcraft #feminism #intersectionality #antiracism

This is going to be fun! I hope you join us!

Meta announces that it is ending its social media fact-checking program as it aligns with the incoming Trump administration’s views on speech possibly allowing extraordinary commentary about women as objects, misgendering & other offensive language as “free expression.” wildhunt.org/2025/01/meta...

My first official Substack post is up! I’ll be posting up to 2x a month on vetting information and tackling misinformation in witchcraft and paganism. You can read it (and even subscribe for free!) here: open.substack.com/pub/daylinam...

Tomorrow! I’m at 72 subs and would love to make it to 100 before tomorrow’s newsletter goes out. If you’re witchy inclined, or curious about how I’m going to approach media literacy, fact checking, misinformation debunking and information vetting in witchcraft and paganism, please subscribe!

🧵🧵🧵 This year I plan to help folks with media literacy, including not using blanket statements like “news media/mainstream media is owned by the elite.” TV news ≠ all news media. NPR Is a huge network of editorially independent public radio stations (I work for one.)

*whispers* I'm writing the lectures for the "Queering the Runes" course and they're even better than the book. And the book is damn good. Register here: lore-academy.teachable.com/p/queering-t...
