So I’m in the middle of my first replay of Three Houses and I’m a little surprised to find that I still prefer Engage. But it honestly feels like comparing apples and oranges. They both have such different vibes and it seems so clear they intentionally chose to focus on different aspects.

2025 Game Completion #6: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance This game has easily solidified itself as one of my favorites of all time. Combat is incredible, story is fantastic, soundtrack is so much better than I remembered. Any Fire Emblem fan needs to give this one a shot. Rating: 10/10 Hours: 48

It’s been at least 5 years since I did my last playthrough of FE: Path of Radiance so I wondered how I would receive it this time. I was instantly reminded why I love this game. Story is great, BIG fan of the battle mechanics, maps are clever and challenging. It’s a must play for any SRPG fan.

2025 Game Completion #5: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team Never got through this as a kid, so I’m glad I had the chance and I ended up having more fun with it than I thought! Definitely clunky at times and a slow start, but once it picked up steam I was locked in. Rating: 8/10 Hours: 38

2025 Game Completion #4: Mario & Luigi: Brothership Honestly, this fell a bit flat. Still had a good time with it overall, but I felt there were just so many pacing issues. Battle animations, long story, battle plug mechanic, LOAD TIMES - just too much slogging it down. Rating: 7.5/10 Hours: 62

I’ve been getting back into Mario and Luigi Brothership post Pokémon bender and man, this game’s pacing is just all over the place. I enjoy it - but the story going on for way longer than it needs to, the load times, the forced battle animations, and the battle plugs…it just feels like a slog.

2025 Game Completion #3: Pokémon Platinum It’s been a hot minute since I’ve played Platinum and I really forgot just how much I enjoy it. Sinnoh is one of my favorite regions to navigate and I’m a huge fan of the dex, story, and the challenge. Peak Pokémon for sure. Rating: 9/10 Hours: 80
