Vote for Calgary in the Strongest Town contest! It's the only Canadian city in the running and that feels extra special now 🇨🇦 www.strongesttown.com

Sometimes public transit leaders have to choose between electrification and service. Choose service. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

@jeromyyyc.bsky.social "Housing. But not via the most basic changes that need to happen to enable it". Very disappointing take from Farkas over on the other site.

Want to hear the latest on housing in #yyc? Join us March 8th for our talk What's Next For Housing with More Neighbours Calgary and Good Neighbour. We’ll take a look at what we’ve accomplished together, where we are now and how we can make an impact in 2025. RSVP: calgarysfuture.ca/actions/what...

When I visit the Netherlands, apparently I take photos of closed bus stops. An orange bag over the stop with text explaining the closure: Bright, simple, obvious, rainproof. Something we should be doing over here?

Hey transpo folks! Do you have a go-to diagram, image, or some other visual aid that shows the importance of having a multi-modal transportation network? Something that emphasizes resiliency, meeting different needs, access, etc. CC @brenttoderian.bsky.social who always has good visual aids.

I remember a radio host complaining to me about how nobody uses the bike lanes in the winter in Montreal. This feels good to see.

The elevated Green Line alignment insisted upon by the Province now exceeds the cost of the tunneled downtown alignment from Sheppard to Eau Claire. www.courtneywalcott.com/council_appr...

I’m running to represent Ward 6 on City Council! I grew up in Ward 6, and I’m ready to serve my community. It’s time for action on housing, infrastructure, and leadership we can trust. For our city. For Ward 6. For you. Let’s get to work. #yyccc #TeamTeja www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXBh...

I think it might all be time for us to watch the movie "Look Who's Back"

My hypothesis is that full vehicle wraps hurt ridership and as a result don't make as much money as agencies think.

Nerdfighters for more neighbours!

Hank gets it.

In Canada, a pint is equal to 20 fl oz (568 mL). The allowable limit of error for a pint is 0.5 fl oz (15 mL). The foam (head) is not included in the measurement. The term "pint" shouldn't be used to describe a glass or mug of beer. ised-isde.canada.ca/site/measure... #Canada #beer

I'm looking for some info on how electrification of regional rail improves speed. Maybe some evidence from Caltrain? Any ideas? @alonlevy.bsky.social?

Rick Mercer?

@amtrak.com as one customer beside me put it, this is what "being Amtraked" is like.

Live travel drama trying to get home from #TRBAM. After making me rebook to a later train 3 weeks ago, Amtrak's Acela had a mechanical issue and left 55 minutes late from DC. I have a plane to catch at Newark. It's going to be extremely tight. Stay tuned to see if I make it!

Pro #TRBAM tip: If you simply won't show up to moderate your session, maybe don't sign up to moderate. The presenters are the ones who suffer.
