Those unrealistic games…

This is a special modded M1911 for WWI airmen. There was no machine guns on the first air planes, so pilots were in need of guns to shoot ar each other. This M1911 was modded with extended clip (cuz reloading in air was tricky) and brass catcher, so spent cartridges wont interfere with controls).

English "duckfoot" pistol from the 18th century - for when you REALLY want to spread your love.

My first two book reviews! This one is from Barnes & Noble. He also left a review on my Goodreads profile. What a great and wonderful thing! It really helps to boost the visibility of a brand-new author, so THANK YOU! ________ Buy this wonderful book (or leave your own review) here! bit.ly/GWOTDbook

Everyone "knows" what a boomerang is. That this is an aboriginal Australian weapon which in the case of missing returns back. This is not so. Boomerang is just a aerostabilised throwing stock that flights truer to the target. It can be made to return to the point of launch, but not all boomerangs

Punt gun or duck gun. Maybe largest and most deadly hunting gun. Naturally, it was outlawed fast because it was decimating duck population.

Mitrailleuse - when you didn't invent machine gun yet, but you need a lot of grapeshot to kill those pesky foreign soldiers.

Pepperbox - when you try to invent a revolvers, and think that a separate barrel per bullet is a pretty neat idea. They were pretty popular until advent of modern-type revolvers which were easier to use, easier to maintain and not so top-heavy.

Harmonica pistols - when you had a lot of foes and needed a lot of charges (or at least more than contemporary revolvers). First ones were flintlock, later used percussion caps. 8 or 10-charges "magazine" was moved by hand, of course. Naturally, advent of cartridges and double-action revolvers...

What did you think at the first glance? "Huh, some weird pistol?" Then you're wrong :) Technically Gyrojet isn't a pistol at all. It even not a firearm (debatable), because it was firing a tiny, tiny (bullet-size) rockets! So if you thought Bolter from WH4Ok interesting... Well, it has a real-life

Blunderbuss. Basically a musket, but with a shortened barrel and a widened muzzle. Was used mainly by a cavalerly and by a seamen - shortened barrel made it easier to handle and muzzle easied reload (especially of grapeshot). Lacked accuracy on the long distance, though.

Gunblade. Or, rather, gun-sword. Yes, it was real. And yes, it was a terrible idea. You can guess why :)

Folks, I present you... The anti-tank Vespa. Yes, it's real. Yes, it was manufactured.

Sten submachine gun. One of the most ugly and notorious unreliable authomatic weapons in history... But it was dirty cheap, easy to assemble, used available ammunition and was intended as resistance weapon.

Fairchild Republic A-10. Aptly named "Warthog" it become one of the most distinct shapes on the battlefield.

One of the most unusual, ugly yet beautiful planes ☺️
