Rep Eric Swalwell walked out in *shock*—and who could blame him? Every single GOP member on the House Judiciary Committee just voted to let Trump “deport” American citizens. This is illegal, authoritarian, and unforgivable 🤬 Time to call, write, & protest before the full House votes.

To say legacy media is not built for this moment is a gross understatement. The people destroying this country are being treated with respect.

this is legitimately evil

just listened to a chunk of this interview and in addition to radiating hitler particles this keeperman guy is a dumbass with mommy issues (many such cases)

no.

Horseshoe theory for cynicism and extreme credulity is very much a thing

Anytime Trump says some bullshit I see a fair amount of despondent comments like "And like a third of the country will believe him" which is true but I think you just have to get past that. Like a third of the country believes in ghosts too, we don't need total consensus to win

"I wasn't president for all of the first quarter, just 85% of it! Not enough time for the tariffs I put in to do anything! Check back in two weeks!"

I'm really happy with how my spread for may came out! I love frogs. Done with Pitt Pens, the language is Esperanto. #art #bulletjournal #journaling

pedocon theory is a theory like gravity is a theory

If Ebola breaks out I guarantee it will be discussed around kitchen tables.

VP Vance just came to the Senate to cast the tie-breaking vote to keep Trump’s disastrous tariff policies in place. On a day that our economy contracted, you’d think they would wake up to the fact that their national sales tax is hurting our economy. But they don't seem to care.

I just listened to Kamala Harris speak at an event and I am just still stunned by the massive stupidity of this country.

If you strip out the effect of the iceberg, the Titanic had a successful maiden voyage.

#OnThisDay April 30, 1992, the final episode of The Cosby Show aired on NBC. Fox aired a repeat of #TheSimpsons on the same night, but it featured a new piece of animation after the episode ended referencing the final Cosby and... wow.

You live in one of the least densely populated countries on earth. You and a couple dozen fellow travelers can relatively easily go find someplace truly alone and be free from the constrictions of modernity. The fact that you haven’t is suggestive!

My new Kate Bishop card!

I have in general become way less tolerant of ‘crunchy’ bullshit since ascension of people like RFK jr. to actual power. Sorry but the obnoxious Reddit science and logic guys were right, you should be scorned for believing objectively wrong things about consequential issues.

The "mean" in "Greenwich Mean Time" actually means "mean" (like, average). I did not know this! To calculate GMT they took the position of the sun throughout the year and averaged it out to find the average solar noon in Greenwich and based the time on that!

This is something we can all do.👇🏼 File a complaint with the FL and DC Bar to have Pam Bondi disbarred for not complying with the 9-0 Supreme Court ruling to return Mr. Garcia from El Salvador. I did mine... who's next?

they’re calling it the biggest contraction the economy has ever seen folks. it’s going to be more beautiful than thought possible

The person who wrote this screed is a current Clemson person. Another point for the Gamecocks.

so this is kind of a funny image, particularly given the picture they gave the guy. but it’s actually a great example of how democracy relies upon, is *supposed to have*, effective mediating institutions that make politics comprehensible to the median voter, and how they help people like this guy.

The Canadian election result shows that the 2024 US election might have gone very differently if American voters could somehow have known in advance what it would be like to have Donald Trump as president

Today I met with some of the dedicated federal workers who have been ILLEGALLY fired by Trump in his first 100 days. These firings take a chainsaw to public services that benefit all Americans to rig our government for billionaires like Elon Musk. We will keep fighting back.

After the assassination of Pres. Lincoln, VP. Andrew Johnson was sworn into office. Johnson opposed full rights for the newly freed, vetoing a Civil Rights Act. Congress overrode him, sending a message: justice cannot wait. 113 days to Slavery Remembrance Day. #CountdowntoSRD

The Trump Administration admitted in court that it NEVER should've abducted Kilmar, yet it continues to defy a court order to facilitate his return. Trump claims there's nothing he can do. But as I wrote to him today, the VP of El Salvador told me explicitly — the ball is in Trump's court:

When the deals are good

This, from a woman in Oklahoma talking to her local news station, is better than the vast majority of political speeches you'll hear today.

it's legit weird how much *more* obsequious republican party electeds are this time around, given that he's already on track to be even less popular (and to get there faster) this time and how plausible it is that he could be even *more* catastrophic for them in the midterms next year than in 2018

there is a decent chance i never spend a single dime at target again in my life www.startribune.com/target-gave-...

This is sickening.

your child will toil valiantly in the factory. it will be masculine. it will restore our national character. it will make america great again. oh my child? my child will run a lucrative rightwing podcast
