You’ll never believe it, but when we design bike infrastructure with paint/signs (& in this case, allow parking for a few hours per week)… drivers will decide it’s ok to unsafely & illegally park in the bikelane pretty much 24/7, risking bicyclists’ safety & lives. We can & should do better.

Bike parking isn’t just about throwing in a rack and calling it done. You need space, enough to park, maneuver, and not block sidewalks or the bike lane. Not all bikes are the same length, and not all people on bikes can squeeze into tight gaps. Design with some thought.

Today is a rare car day. Learned of Menards and got some air purifiers for the apartment. This place has cart escalators similar to IKEA. Went to nearby Culver’s to try them out. Fast food quality wise, I’d say mid-tier. Shrimp allergic folks should avoid this place: I saw shrimp on the menu here!
