I enjoy dithering pictures. I like seeing how the compression algorithm decides how to distribute the colours across the image as the limited palette (8 colours here) requires it to make choices.

Out of the entire Sonic franchise, my favourite enemy designs come from Sonic CD. I'm already quite fond of the classic Badniks in general, but I absolutely love how almost every single one of them in Sonic CD is based off of an insect of some sort. Very cute and charming.

i really like cut man's stage because of the fact that it hardly revolves around scissors at all; the environment is supposed to be an abandoned sawmill but its so vague and the robots are completely generic with no theming whatsoever. its so simple in a way that almost makes it abstract. i love it

I really love how most of Sonic's artwork from Adventure is directly recreating his poses from earlier games. Makes it much easier to compare and contrast their differences, but it also reinforces just how much I tend to prefer the older design lol.

In Sonic 3 & Knuckles, due to sharing his colour palette, the Aqua Shield monitor will turn yellow when Sonic undergoes his super transformation. This makes the monitor look like a hypothetical Piss Shield power-up.

eggman vs wily was one of the standout battles of season 1 of death battle and honestly if I could choose any fight to be remastered it'd be that one. for the longest time it was the only army battle on the show (i think) until bowser vs eggman happened

elec man's stage kind of went crazy and a large portion of it is just entirely different. none of the songs recreated in this game are identical to their originals but this is just a whole different level lol

i like the little jingle they added at the start of cut man's stage theme in dr wily's revenge; it makes the melody just a bit better but i like the instruments of the nes version more so its a toss-up on which one i prefer overall
