Wouldn’t it be nice if certain military would opt out of the military parade 47 wants for his birthday? Is there a way they can refuse or is it defying a military order that leads to punishment?

Vintage crochet blanket. Sister found this in an old chest in dad’s basement. With some sleuthing my grandmother’s friend made this for her. It’s been in that chest about 45 years. I’m trying to find out when it was made. It lives on my bed now. ❤️

Hiking in the Hocking State Forest in southeastern Ohio; it was a gorgeous day to be outside grounding myself in nature. There were singing birds, peeping frogs, and cool caves to hide in for a break. This cave is called 21 Horse Cave coz a story says some horse rustlers hid 21 horses in there.

My dad is currently collecting sugar water to make his maple syrup. 40 gallons of water will make 1 gallon of syrup. It’s a lot of work for such a small amount. This year he is only tapping one tree. Usually he will tap a dozen or so. I call his syrup liquid gold. And it is heaven in my tea.

Tonight I came home from work and sobbed. I wanted to retire and start collecting my social security this year. But I don’t know it it will be there for me. I have family that use Medicaid & the VA for healthcare & they may lose it. I’m barely keeping it together these days.
