Give me all of the 2-0s. 2-0s until the end of time

Klopp outplayed his metrics with smart tactics and by making every single player believe he could do miracles — that’s why so many often did. What Slot has done is pragmatically made a now better team* — to a man — play at and above much improved metrics. They’ve built on each other beautifully.

“We’re gonna win the football league again”

To be clear, I want nothing more than us to win the league. I don't care how we do it, I don't care if it happens tomorrow on the last minute of the last day. I just want that title. But the thing I want after that is for us to wrap this up before new Stoke City roll into town.

As many as thirteen. A margin worthy of how much better we are than everyone else. Long live Arne Slot, Sipke Hulshoff, John Heitinga and their dominant Reds.

Salah could do a Rubik's cube with the outside of that foot

This referee has done everything in his power to keep it at two. Stonewall penalty not give, outrageous whistle to prevent a clear advantage, and Pope having butter fingers not being punished. But we've been so, so good. A performance of champions.

It’s an exhibition.

Thought Diogo was superb today. Now time for Gakpo to come on and do the business.

Double-digit gap with the same number of games played is quite something. 10 points between us and a 10 difference in GD as well. Sing your hearts out.

Great first half, now go out and get a second and kill this off.

He's sexy, he's tireless, and he's now shooting whenever he wants. Dom Szoboszlai, what a fucking man you are.

Sticks his hands into Salah's face and chest as Mo runs at him, goes to ground, grabs at him from the ground and also trips him up. It's a shameful decision. That's one of the more awful calls you'll see all weekend, but you'll never, ever see a replay of that...

Even by his standards, that is an atrocious decision. Hall throws himself to the ground, and then brings Mo down with him, but somehow Mo is the one responsible.

Looks like it's back to the front three, with no real surprises. Newcastle look strong, but they are missing Botman, Joelinton and Isak.

The best winger. The best playmaker. The best striker.

I don't think the broader football discourse has fully grasped the all time great season Mo Salah is having it's February and he already has 30 and 21 in all comps, 25-16 in the league, while being his (title-leading) team's primary possession outlet and ball progression option Messi esque

Remember kids, players are only ever injured if they play for Arsenal. You’ve completely imagined the times this season when Alisson, Konaté, Trent, Tsimikas, Jones, Elliott & Gakpo haven’t been available. You’re also lying to yourself about Bradley & Gomez being out now.

People think we don't have injuries because our squad is better & deeper than any other, so injuries don't hurt us the same. Still Jota missed months, Alisson absent >25% of PL, Trent's missed time, Bradley repeated spells out, Gakpo missed the last couple weeks, Konate out 4 weeks, Gomez crocked.

27 - Mohamed Salah is the first player in Premier League history to have seemingly broken a record or recorded a new stat after every game this season. Wild.

Two seasons with fit sides and they won fuck all and couldn’t break 90 points. But sure, it’s the injuries. And that doesn’t even begin to address the fact that load management and minimizing injuries takes skill, something Lego head in North London hasn’t got a clue about.

"We get to own and revel in this Sunday night. We get to hit it hard. We get to believe and we get to ask if now you are going to believe us. "We get to ask that because you are kidding yourself if you have faith in anyone else." ✍️ @knoxharrington.bsky.social's review... Read here 👇

We should enjoy every minute we get of Mo Salah in this country, as it may be a very, very long time before we see his like again.

today was the day arne slot became president of the premier league

That was an Arne Slot masterclass. We know Man City aren’t *that* team this season but Liverpool looked set up to withstand whatever it was City could muster. Best defensive performance in a while. Looked so calm.

Liverpool conceded more goals to Plymouth Argyle than Manchester City this seaon.

A very different kind of win for us today, but exactly what we needed. Defensively resolute, a clever goal from a set piece, clinical up front, deadly in transition. A far cry from how fragile and ponderous we have looked at times. A pair of 2-0 wins against City. What a time to be alive.

Every single week he sets another record (and often multiple in the same week). On a different level.

What a weird game. Has been *the* battle of the past 10 years but wasn’t a battle today. Instead Liverpool eased to victory through tactical discipline, composure on and off the ball and ruthlessness when required. A brilliant, statement performance and quite simply that of champions.

The best clean sheet of this and many seasons. All of the energy, focus, commitment and just bloody-mindedness that has been missing from some of the recent defensive performances was here in spades. Now, put your feet up lads!

The teams starting this weekend in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th all lost.

Arne Slot is only the second ever Liverpool manager to complete the league double over the reigning English champions in his first season in charge of the club. The other was Bob Paisley v Leeds in 1974-75. #LFC

As many as eleven, with eleven to go. One of the toughest games we had left this season, and we've come through it unscathed. We might actually win the football league again.

I really liked Diaz today. Lively, plenty of fight, posed a threat, tracked back to help Robbo. Good stuff.

Good to see Cody back. Now let's hope for an uneventful 15 minutes where he can gallop around and get some minutes in the legs.

Their quality makes it difficult, but I would love to see us keep the ball for a little spell. Constantly on the back foot here, and defending well under the pressure, but we're just not in control here.

We are, but I'd still like us to do less of it by keeping the ball more.

Me when the Ballon d’Or nominations come out.

We're living in a world where McAtee coming on for De Bruyne worries me. He's a superb young player, and De Bruyne has never looked so diminished.
