Finally finished! “Dandelions”. Mixed media and techniques. 22” x 14” (minus the fringe).

If you're looking for details for your calls, House Dems produced this tool where you can how many people in your district are at risk of losing jobs, health care, and food on the table from the House GOP budget. "For the sake of the X people in CA-54 who will lose their Medicaid, please vote no."

Whimsical linden tree seed pods depicted in multimedia fiber art — pin loom weaving, hooking, embroidery. #fiberart #pinloomweaving #rughooking #art

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

Just spent a fun afternoon making mini fiber art in @lizbessel.bsky.social class through In The Studio Online. #miniart #fiberart #loveoflearning

My first piece of pottery! Went to date night at Lititz Clay Studio last month — highly recommend. It was a lot of fun! And harder than it looks 😂

It’s only been three weeks, but already I am exhausted by my own fury. I emailed Kate DiCamillo and asked for help. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/10/o...

I tried Rachelle LeBlanc’s gallery finish on this piece and I’m very happy with how this turned out. The tonal wool yarn was perfect for the row of chain stitch between the loops and binding. Visit the shop on her website for a video tutorial on this finish. #fiberart #finishingtechnique

substack.com/inbox/post/1... With thanks to @hcrichardson.bsky.social for inspiration.

Artist date yesterday at the Barnes Foundation. Philly has great museums and this is one of the best. I highly recommend it — and do the tour to learn not only about the collection but also Dr. Barnes’ interesting story. #artistdate

Sewing and snowing here, with views on my work table and just outside my studio on this cold January Sunday in south central PA. #hookedart #hookedfiberart #artwip

A kid on my bball team was having a rough time, so I sat down with him and listened and made him feel heard and took time to lift him up in a genuine way... and I am telling you, this is how you get through the next 4 years. Human by human.

I’m ready to start the finishing on this piece. Did you know that barn swallows eat almost exclusively on the wing?

I’m a fiber artist, but I dabble with other mediums. This year I’m keeping a nature observation visual journal as part of my creative practice. Winter week 3 is for winterberries.

Introducing Elizabeth Miller from Maine who is one of the nine artists in ‘Stories are Made Loop by Loop’ at its last venue the Schwenkfelder Library in Pennsburg, PA thru March 30. There is a digital catalog available at issuu.com/susanfeller/...

After reading Margaret Renkl’s book The Comfort of Crows, I was inspired to add a weekly nature observation to my journaling practice. Fall week 9 was all about a FOTS white-throated sparrow I watched on a morning walk. Highly recommend this practice!

Today’s poem celebrates Fibonacci Day. It’s called ‘Word Crunching’.

I can’t decide what I like best in this view from my walk this morning — the blue sky, the warm sunlight on the tree trunks or the features of the split rail fence exaggerated in the shadows on the path. No, it is definitely those shadows!
