Lovely to see croci and snowdrops in the ☀️ at Sefton Park on a 'Meetup' walk earlier. Notable birds: RNPs, nuthatch, song thrush, great tits scoping out a nesting hole, little grebes, tufties and either a very cross, invisible buzzard or a hidden, ventriloquist jay 🤷🏻‍♀️ #UKbirding

Quick walk down Within Way in the cold: no finch flock in usual hedgerow - thought it was because it had been flailed until I saw the little male sparrowhawk hiding underneath it! Other highlights: one twite (ta to Dave for the heads up), only 3 brambling, 40+ curlew, vocal raven pair. #UKbirding
