Started expanding practice into multiplayer. Still need to do some steam deck repairs before I try working on the controller layout. Not sure yet how much needs to be done since the touchscreen is unresponsive and I should probably upgrade storage while it’s open. Are there active cooling upgrades?

Got on track like a pro. Long running sim got boring. Probably going to try and see how fast I can run it. Instrumental purpose is being lost to these goals unfortunately. Like other challenges this is anticipated to be developmental for some unforeseen purpose.

#DigivolveIntoChampions Started working on the roboport grid. Going to need a lot of ammunition. Decommissioning the original nuclear reactor site, relying on solar while the design reforms. Otherwise trying to be modular and distributed. My blupes take a lot of resources. Need to see scale, limit

“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone.”

RIP Factorio Goblin. Found a great layout but facs only have one terminal AP and ignore color. Grid size is measured in high tension extents. Current core is 5x5. Can ratio 1:1 copper for G:R circs. Could get similar with all fundamentals. Just not the problem I want to be solving for now.

Logistic network motivated general register malls are so ridiculously simple that I don’t know how a more efficient layout could occur. If I go so far as to work on caches and voroni distribution then I don’t know how large the factory will be.

Working on getting Elite Dangerous configured. I don’t think I’ve mentioned that all of this is being done on steam deck. Looking into getting good E:D controls and maining E:D on the net and Factorio off the Net. E:D controls need Factorio-Style chord binding to be feature complete. Maybe steamplay

Achieved dual logistics embargo and space science research. Working on developing logistics network. Winding down the frame by cooling the trains and nuclear systems. Not sure what to do but play casually from here. Space age doesn’t appeal if I don’t enjoy new sessions.

Rocket Launched. Targeting Logistics. Second train enplaced. Minor fiasco with stops proved the signals are good. Copper flows were restricted by a belt glitch. Module saturation is going to triple power consumption (?) so my uranium patch is going to become a power factory. Two reactors just won’t.

Transitioned to rocket science. Working at the threshold of production. Recording milestones. Science is functional while modules accumulate and the rocket builds. Short on lightweight composites due to copper delivery shortage. Tempted to rename the rail terminal Ea-Nasr.

Engine production geometry maximalism should be interesting. Logistic network 4x8 rings will handle transient demand in the future but baseload consumption ought to be driven by fixed geometries. LogRings are exponential but baseload should probably be logarithmic or some such.

Baseload power is going almost exclusively to beacons. Bootstrapping Nuclear may mean that my current footprint on-site shrinks but it likely ought to remain as a transient backup. It is designed to absorb excess capacity and to sip fuel, so I’ve had less than 1k units running a long time.

Original resources totally extracted. Decentralizing oil and nuclear. Working on a module mall. I can get 8:1 off copper to red circuit per second with a full beacon array, and probably some beacon building copper from the residual excess. No call yet on blue circuit, probably identical to furnaces.

Close to another reset. 8:7 efurn:beacon grid on full speed/3 gets 1:1 4:3.6, and a 12:11 of the same is likely 2:1; excellent scale out? Previous grid was complex, scaled linearly up to saturation then falls to {n/x => n^~/x}; this pattern is probably intrinsically related to capillary fluid feeds.

Started testing beacons. There is roughly a 3:1 ratio of electric furnace to tier three workshop with a full module stack for green circuits. Focusing on speed and productivity at this scale. Science is stalled while building up modules. Still not far from start, doing clearing with the tank.

Obtained kovarex.

Reset for bleeding off local coal supply. Debugging nuclear satisfaction. Train inputs are disordered, copper oversupply when iron plates are needed. Discovered underground belt overlay feature trying to route through a dense express. Still maximizing for chip production. No science for a few days?

Reworking the cel. LR/NS Orientations are garbage spaghetti nonsense, light oil is in deep surplus, may dispose with minefielded flamethrowers, need to finish reinforced concrete upgrade and probably refine the nuclear footprint. 180 mw capacity but only 15mw demand. The factory must grow.

Science is back online, but weakly and without automation. We are using up surplus by purging a passive provider sponge with “the unfortunate shape,” which has the appropriate traditional orientation. Extraction took awhile to design in order to avoid automated logistics.

Computer age 1 achieved. Slacking on red chips because of layout and we’re quantized instead of streaming, but previous issues are resolved. Furnace is too big and needs to be deserialized, but that rework can wait for prod mods to accumulate. Until then it’s not clear how much it won’t saturate.

Started working on my blueprint facility. Haven’t used it except to edit copy. Second time I’ve mined down the starter patch of a resource. Already incorporated external iron. Still have coal and copper. Tracking five endgame achievements. Metro area needs buildup.

☕️🚀☕️ TLDR: Working to develop a better train ETL pipeline on a train world; Choking on copper production. Can’t get red circuit. Figured out a confined JIT balancer that only exposed deeper problems. Still in starting area, posed to get three achievements, and two techs away from building the rocket.

I don’t write anything that I don’t believe in. The best I can do when I change my mind is to stop writing, but those words are still real for someone, constant in the change they’ve created. I may not be who those words create, but perhaps I can’t stop being what they created.

A reminder as Musk-bots, Trump-bots, and other bots start hitting Bluesky: blocking users removes their replies from your posts entirely. The correct way of handlin antagonizing parties is to block. Not reply. Not dunk. Not mute. Block. It stops their reach and effectiveness right there.

Almost everything in data is probably older than you think: Relational Database (1973) SQL (1974) MOLAP (1970s) Spreadsheet (1978) MPP Database (1984) ETL/ELT (1980s) Data Warehouse Architecture (1988) ROLAP (1990s) Semantic Layer (1992) Columnar Database (1995) #databs

Being asked if there is anything you regret is the opportunity of the victorious. I sincerely doubt that will ever be me; if I cannot be reached then I will be burdened instead by the cost that comes before reaching some point where it no longer counts, compelled to never achieve it.

In a truly liberated world where justice is as common and expected as the sunrise, what is there to do except to thrive as we would if we permitted ourselves the same, yet-guarded, liberty?

If there is one thing anyone can learn from AI it’s how much any platform does not respect the historicity of its actions nor the authenticity of its agents.

Correct. Voter suppression became election denialism. Election denialism turned into post-election litigation. Failed post-election litigation led to fake electors. Fake electors justified disregarding the results. When all of that failed...we ended up with a violent insurrection on Jan 6.

Just to share something cool... I was looking for pixel fonts for my neocities and like, I keep getting all the usual font sites on google and like... Sometimes you want like.. a REAL website like no I need a page where some weirdo wrote the HTML!! int10h.org/oldschool-pc...? So I found THIS!!!

Purging everything, screen time blowout. Probably going to get down to where I can read more. All subscriptions are getting canceled. New year, new me? Might take longer than expected.

Death is frequently the solution to infinity as we find in it the reciprocal. To a life that already struggles with the hours of the day is not a lifetime also an eternity?

We are perhaps discovering in real time what the sub-ego is, in being the subconscious of the machine and the predecessor of its psyche, as we are in turn influenced by evocation of the gnostic superego devised through algorithmic elocutions. Cultivation and culture converge in bloom of fire and eye
