I’ve been avoiding making this post. I was a political junkie, even as a kid. My parents gave me free rein to watch the news. I’ve never seen a “president” & VP act as they did with Zelenskyy. It was shameful. I feel bereft. Only my dad and his mom escaped murder by the Nazis. What now? F them all!

Protestors met JD Vance in Vermont when he went to vacation there today. This is a good one:

A reminder for these times.

Miss my mom. She died at a young age, but sometimes the grief is still overwhelming.

Love it! The title itself is a perfect recipe to create the truth!

My husband, born in Mexico, came to the U.S. as an adult, speaking no English. He just flung out the word ”amenable” when discussing an artist he used to hire who died. He speaks better English than MANY born in the U.S. and contributed in lots of ways; but, yeah, immigrants are the problem.🤷‍♀️

Priceless!

For the visual learners...

“There is no sorrow greater than in times of misery, to hold at heart the memory of happiness.” —Dante Alighieri, “Inferno.”

My husband on his way to a wedding. Apparently, Coco thinks he looks delicious, based on her tongue!

Fetterman is Manchin redux. 🖕

I won’t go to the US now with my spouse for fear he may be detained, even though he has been a US citizen for 40+ years. My dad’s entire family except he and his mom were murdered by Nazis. It is happening again. I feel numb and scared. Fuck those who voted for this and those who didn’t vote.🖕

“I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what.” —Atticus Finch (“To Kill a Mockingbird”)

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. —Eleanor Roosevelt

Having one’s back terrace facing west has its benefits.

Keep sharing this. Apparently, Democracy has died in ignorant, subservient, self-interested darkness.

The holidays and visitors have left Coco exhausted, at least for about 10 minutes. Wish I had her energy.🐕

I hope all my Bluesky friends have a wonderful new year. Let’s work together to save the U.S. from becoming a dictatorship. I believe in my heart that we can do it.

Happy holidays, Bluesky. It is a gorgeous day here in México lindo.

The studio has been rearranged for the zillonth time. I like this arrangement. Just need to hang some art and posters we have on hand. Click on photos to get the full picture.

Coco could be in camouflage were it not for her white feet, the white streak on her nose, and her frosty-white tummy fur.

Love my town. Love the people, the culture, the food, the vibe.
