Drawing new chibis for snippets pretty much a year after I did the first batch reveals a lot about how much my style has shifted. They're small shifts (I'm trying to keep the chibis pretty similar) but they're there. It's mostly in how I draw the eyes. 🤔

Oh, my. The plotting file for the vampire project is an absolute mess. I'm a very linear writing, but plotting...well, this is even more all over the place than usual. 😅 That's okay, though, but it works. Or will once I fit all the scrambled jigsaw pieces together.

It always makes me sad when I find a romance series that's set in the same world, features different characters, and yet all the smexy fun time and dirty dialogue is exactly the same. It makes the series suffer from diminishing returns. The first book was great! The second was okay. The third? Meh.

One of the most helpful things when doing art is to take a step back. Shut off the tablet, close the sketchbook, (carefully) cover the easel, whatever. Just stop looking at it for a while. When you come back, it's much easier to see the whole, rather than laser focusing on the mistakes.
