Did anyone in Norman get a picture of the amazing cirrus iridescence about 30-45 minutes ago? I was driving so couldn’t grab a picture but it was outstanding!

Might be windy in Kansas this evening/tonight.

I am speechless after witnessing yesterday's magic hour supercell churn for over an hour from the same exact spot! 📍Hydro, Oklahoma #okwx #wxsky @wxliz.bsky.social @stormhour.com @stormgasm.bsky.social @mikeolbinski.bsky.social @spann.bsky.social

Mams are out!

Eeek! So excited! Just got tickets to see Yellowcard (an all-time favorite), A Day To Remember, and State Champs in September. I’ve wanted to see ADTR and State Champs for soooo long!

If we could just not, that would be great.

Thank you, Wordle, for reminding me today that I am actually stupid.

The organization where I did my sabbatical, @comet-meted.bsky.social, launched their new MetEd learning platform today! www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfff... www.meted.ucar.edu

Really glad I wrote this MD. That was way too close! A tornado just west of Norman and the meso moved right over my house. 😅

Interesting. 🤔

I’m trying to eventually transition to here from X. Thank you for the new followers and the interactions. Here’s another photo of tonight’s tornado in Floyd, NM.

Floyd, NM tornado sequence. Estimated start time was 5:18 p.m. and rope out at 5:40 p.m. Photos captured at 5:21, 5:25, 5:31 and 5:38 p.m. this evening.

Up to an inch now.

Hail up to 0.50” at the Leitman residence. In case anyone didn’t know it was hailing in Norman. 😜

My son’s class award as voted on by his peers. 😄🔭🧑‍🔬

My bird feeder camera captured this brown-headed cow bird enjoying the mammatus this afternoon! 🥹

Mams are out in Norman!

Today is the day in Central OK. Storms most likely after 4p, maybe as early as 2p. Strong tornadoes & very large hail possible somewhere not too far from OKC/Norman in the I-35 corridor. Storms may develop close by & intensify rapidly. Know where you’ll be & where you’ll shelter into early evening.

The University of Oklahoma's Rapid X-band Polarimetric (RaXPol) mobile radar was positioned perfectly to scan this tornado near Arnett, Oklahoma 🌪️

The eye of the Arnett, OK tornado, captured by one of our UAVs as it collected scientific data on the environment within.

Check out this incredible evolution of an intensifying tornado-producing supercell today as it approached I-35 near Pauls Valley, OK! #okwx #wxsky #tornado @wxliz.bsky.social @stormhour.com
