It snowed harder this morning than it did yesterday. Then the sun came out around lunch. Now most of the snow is gone. Still really cold though.

I love #WorldAnvil, truly, but if I step away from it for a while, coming back feels much like the first time I acquainted myself with the site: Like I'm standing at the base of a mountain, at a loss for where to start. Once you have momentum on the site, it's a really engaging tool, though.

I think what frustrates me about snow these days is that my state, while in "the south" is north enough that when I was a kid, we got snow almost every year, and 6-inches was, while not common, also not UNcommon. Now, the forecast says "an inch of snow" and everyone's like

It #snowed here, and this is the #south, so of course people are freaking out over nothing. People are ignoring the actual #forecasts and wildly exaggerating how much we're supposed to get, up to triple the actual amount. Funniest part is, triple the forecast still isn't much when it's 0.5-1 inch. 🤷

It's kind of distracting that #Duolingo decided to animate the fish on Falstaff's desk. Now instead of listening to the caller, I stare at this gasping, dying fish on a desk. He's the only character with anything animated on his desk, so it really stands out, and it's surprisingly morbid, lol.
