Fact: shutting down USAID has grain from US farmers sitting in the docks in Houston. Grain is perishable and so are the people the grain was intended for. This impacts friends and neighbors in agriculture. Does this hit close to home for all of us? If you don't think so, you might reconsider.

I watched the memorial services for President Jimmy Carter yesterday. I teared up when the band played Hail to the Chief at the Carter Center. It caught me off guard. Upon reflection, I was tearing up because the man and his family had RESPECT for people. ALL PEOPLE. Can we get back to that?
