Reading Yoda: Dark Rendezvous lately, I get the feeling that the author was more or less ignoring the characterization of Yoda from the prequels, and just doing his OT personality. He's eating swamp gumbo, whacking droids with sticks, back sassing the Jedi masters around him- it's perfect.
