Let’s be clear. When the President defies the Supreme Court, it is the role of Congress to remove him from office. Full stop.

Good job, Stanford admin. More of this. “America’s univs are a source of great national strength, creating knowledge and driving innovation and economic growth,” they also wrote. “This strength has been built on government investment but not government control.“ stanforddaily.com/2025/04/15/l...

Made a thing (w/ link to text). #uspol #democracy #authoritarianism #RMOL

Körner is 34 yo. MEP since 2019. This is the kind of energy, honesty, and fearlessness USians need. We’ve had glimpses of it. From AOC, from Booker, from Murphy. We need a hell of a lot more. youtu.be/sxzBh3O6QP8

Something from the Kim Jong Un playbook. $92 million for this projection of “power.” newrepublic.com/post/193674/tr

For anyone who’s seen Downfall, Trump’s “weak and stupid” social media posts today have big “Hitler’s bunker” energy. Berating the world because his own idiotic and morally depraved schemes have yielded the predictable results. youtu.be/lc2H-kbiyKU

“Führer Says Three-Front War a Good Sign for Reich”

Once you can see injustices of the past, you can see the legacies of those injustices. Once you see the legacies—the enduring and ongoing impacts—you can see who is working to ameliorate these and who is operating to entrench them. #history #democracy #justice

Asked about the possibility of another massive selloff and a crippling years long recession, the President thrust his lower jaw forward in the style of Mussolini, adding: “It’s a long par 4, but I’m still pretty good off the tee.” MF’er spent the weekend golfing at Mar-a-Lago.

They will minimize it. Mock it. Insist there’s no point. It’s up to us to prove them wrong. Next round on #May1. If everyone who protested today brings one more person…BOOM. 💥 #April5 #HandsOff #democracy #uspol

Yesterday, 1,400 protests were held to protest the Trump whose headlines fill this page. But to the #BrokenTimes this morning, they are a buried BTW. It has plenty of photos; none here. This is what they call "news judgment." To the Times, we are not news.

Several thousand in rainy #Syracuse. Pro-Democracy vibez. Organized. Energized. Mobilized. Resist much, obey little. #April5 #HandsOff #democracy

Gigantic crowd in NYC for the #HandsOff march against Trump, Musk, and MAGA. So many people that the participants can barely move along. Signs decrying Trump and Co. on many fronts: immigration, science, Social Security, reproductive rights, tariffs, autocracy, kleptocracy & the price of eggs.

Sometimes you just need to see somebody doing a thing first before you realize you can do it, too.

A #democracy must practice deliberation to survive. W/ respect to #history education, this means we must welcome differing perspectives, engage with principled disagreement, and accept that history is controversial.

Historian here for the end of women's history month I give you my favorite black abolitionist feminists before the mad man in the White House makes it criminal to talk about them. www.history.com/articles/inf...

The dangers of rewriting history. That’s why it’s important to learn it so that they can’t take it away, even if they do burn all the books and erase all the photos. Stand while we can! Brace for impact!

All the conspiratorial right-wing fantasies about George Soros buying elections, and Elon Musk is just doing it right out in the open.

A few years ago I visited the National Museum of African American History & Culture with my grandparents. When we stepped out of the building my grandmother kept repeating the words “I lived it. I lived it. I lived it.” She’s still here. That history is still in her bones. You can never erase that.

I’m sure the DOGE break-in at the United States Institute of Peace has nothing at all to do with their work on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. www.usip.org/regions/euro...
