Measuring performance losses/gains in FPS is not useful. It's a relative unit of time, you need to give me your base FPS (i.e. "I lost 10 FPS when I normally run at 60" is useful, but "I lost 10 FPS" is not and tells me nothing). The proper metric is frame time, in milliseconds. This is useful.

Art updates 1/3 The synth wyvern project ended early because robots are tough to draw. Regular synths are way easier because their body can be drawn like any organic creature, but I want my robots to look like robots and that means a rigid exterior with gaps, which means a shitload of details.

No blog post for a few more days on #TheConservatory - I'm at the point in development where I'm doing a crackdown on performance. I have also been on a short burnout break. I've been remaking the terrain geometry builder, trying to wring as much performance out of it as I can. Milliseconds matter.
