In 1936, Marlene Dietrich was propositioned by the Nazi's to do propaganda films for The Third Reich. Dietrich, however, was a staunch opponent of the nazi's. By 1939, Marlene renounced her german citizenship and became a US citizen. She would go on to become a USO tour veteran.
