Shout out to @retronc.bsky.social In reference to a video of them from 10 months ago which shows their creative journey as they learned more and gained more skill in pokemon spriting. If you wonder where your pixeling may end you up, go look it up. I had a similar journey, hence my shoutout.

It might hurt my bottom line, but I’m probably going to stop posting art to Twitter entirely and I suggest you do too. Not only is the site actively putting a “Okay, now remix this” button below art (and elevating them above the OP with a QRT) and it’s false flagging original art as made by AI.

I had many plans. To start Vtubing, to make commissions. Just, multiple days lead to weeks, lead to months in having no job to pay for better hardware, to pay for better ways to feel comfort in art and fun. I'll never give up though. I'll find a job, I'll find my fun. #nevergiveup

And finally, our Water starter, Axolitl! These little guys are very elusive in the wild, and they're quick to flee if spotted bobbing in the waves. Many sailors have reported seeing long, serpentine shadows wherever Axolitl appear, almost as if they're keeping watch. Which starter will you choose? 🌊
