This is a good step forward - too many have been made homeless by previous gov policy (remember the 7 days' notice anyone?) and still suffer the consequences. 56 days still aren't that long when you need to rebuild your life from scratch and find a job as well as a home - we can still ask for more.

Child poverty is entirely preventable, but if we want to get rid of it, as a society we must accept that benefits are *a good thing*. It's disheartening to see how many politicians still talk about people 'gaming the system' - the most vulnerable (inc kids) pay the price for this rhetoric.

I feel like, with 1m+ new users a day, verification is going to be an issue on here. Not everyone has their own website/domain they can use, and it's still very easy to pretend to be someone else as people aren't used to checking handles. Or am I missing something?
