Aspiring indie dev. Currently working on Project Eruca-D, full modernized remake of an NES demo I made for Byte-Off IV. Play the NES demo here: https://theretroverse.com/product/space-wars/ I also like games (obviously), manga, TV, and music.

Locked out of my main Twitter account because I tried to change the password (changing the password logs me out of everything) and it won't let me log in due to "suspicious log in activity) Anyways Unleashed is running great on my PC

Uber Eats is surprisingly lucrative for me. My first delivery paid $22 the other day.

Wario Land 4 comes to Switch Online + Expansion Pack on Feb 14th www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NUM...

Got into the Eels lately because I heard Tommy Walter (Abandoned Pools) was the founding bassist. First album's pretty good but that's all I listened to so far. This is also how I found out they made more songs for Shrek than Smash Mouth did.

This is basically my dream console that I've wanted ever since I learned about the SEGA Dreamcast but none of the big players would ever be willing to attempt that. If my games take off it's something I might try myself in a decade or two

Imagine a console where the controller is itself a weaker pocketable handheld that can run its own games while also being able to connect to the main console Wii U style. I've even got the perfect game idea to go with it

I'm interested in the possibility of using vector art in Project Eruca-D. GameMaker supports it and it would make the game both run better and use less space. Would probably look better too. But there's no good way to make vector art without spending money.

Due to the existence of RetroGameForge I will have to make a SNES/Genesis version of Project Eruca-D. Obviously it'll be downgraded but it'll be mostly the same.

I don't use this app enough.

Remix news???

What's with UE5 games and forcing ray tracing? That makes AMD cards pretty unusable

This came to me in a dream #art

THE STORYBOOK KANJI READ ABOUT A PINK ALLIGATOR WAS WRITTEN BY AKINARI FROM P3????

So how long does this usually take...? Not like I'm in a hurry or anything just curious

Usually on Twitter or Discord if I get a DM that just leads with "Hello" or "How are you?" it's a bot trying to scam me but pretty much every other follower I get here DMs me with that so if I ignore you and you're not a bot I'm really sorry

The Atari VCS motherboard is probably the most interesting one I've ever seen. They hid so many Easter eggs.

I think Project Eruca-D will release on Steam, or maybe even Itch, I just don't know if the modern gamemode will be included in that version. You can use the VCS classic controller on PC, sure, but I imagine many people who don't realize it's the intended way to play will throw a fit.

Space Wars, the NES demo I'm basing my current project on, can be played here: theretroverse.com/product/spac... At the time, I didn't have many ideas for the game, and I was restricted to 1 month of development. Since I was just learning NESMaker, even making this was a real challenge.

I got a bunch of stuff working today in Project Eruca-D. I still do not know to to compile it in Linux, but for now I'm just using Windows until it's actually worth porting over to the VCS for real testing.

Got my Grandma on speed dial call dat InstaGram

Making a game in GameMaker is the easy part. The hard part is getting it to compile in Linux (the only OS I am developing the game for) I am going to lose it istg just work already

@gameengines.bsky.social I would like GameMaker please!

For my game, I am trying to figure out how to do this: The player's ship has no weapons, but rather a small deflective shield that is rotated around the ship in a 180° range by twisting the joystick on the Atari VCS classic controller. The issue is that I don't know how to make the shield rotate.

As someone who hopes to one day open an arcade, the Astroids: Recharged cabinet looks really cool. A shame it's so expensive, though.

Heard the VCS will get Proton support in the future. That's huge. Maybe games like Peglin could come to the platform. Paddle controls and Peglin are a match made in heaven.

I've noticed that I always end up liking the underdog. Wii U, Stadia, Atari VCS, Intel Arc, etc. No idea why.

I WOULD TOO WTF

Atari VCS All-In Bundle is $80 at Walmart https://buff.ly/4eJn5jV #ad

Theoretically, isn't it possible to install AtariOS on Steam Deck, and SteamOS on Atari VCS? I'd try it if I had a USB-A to USB-C adapter, but for now all I can do is wonder...

GOOD MORNING you could fit about 583 copies of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition on this 8TB portable SSD: bit.ly/3ZnqSij #partner you're welcome.

I feel like the 2600+ and 7800+ are a waste of resources when Atari could have instead implemented the cart slot into a refresh of the VCS.

Ok new handle we’re here
