Started taking Symbalta today. I'm hoping it'll help with my mental health, I can't afford to not work anymore.

I was going to post that short story of the gay couple in the haunted apartment from one of the Dowman Sayman anthologies for Pride, but all of his manga has representation! Gay/lesbian characters, trans characters, eyepatch girls, etc. Seriously great writing and art too, if you're into it. #manga

I've been reading Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett, and it blows my mind just how well he works in real world issues like racial tensions and economic principles into what is otherwise a silly fantasy story. I also love how he describes the beauty and romance in engineering and industry. #booksky

Someone should make one of those indie stylized card games but with dominoes. I've been itching to play some all-5 dominoes but there's no good apps or games for it that aren't shovelware. Dominoes is cooler than poker or yhatzee or whatever.

The Nito Exorcists is a new series on Manga+. The art reminded me a bit of Tokyo Ghoul, with lots of interesting angles and kind of slow melancholy pacing interspersed with action and drama. There's also silliness at times that feels almost surreal in the setting. #manga

Now that Where's Your Head At is gaining popularity again, I wanna see an AMV with it and all the decapitation bits from Dorohedoro.

The Nito Exorcists on Manga+ is good! I'll post a real review tomorrow, but for sure I recommend it, after the first few chapters at least. #manga

Beastars was rough for me, it gives me a strong cringe reaction i can't really explain. It's still very good though, as is her other series, Sanda. Overall I'd file her work in the "good, but not for me" category. Her autobiographical manga is very interesting though.

Land of Monsters is rapidly becoming one of my favorite series in it's genre, especially for a newer series. It's got a good pacing, and there's a general idea of where the story is going, without being too laid out. #manga

I read the first 25 chapters of Snowball Earth in Viz (26-39 are unavailable). It's interesting, post-apocalyptic kaiju story. It seems like it's going to get depressing, but it's hard to tell. The tone is kind of silly, so even when things seem serious it's hard to take it that way. #manga

What do you get when two mischievous kids sneak into a forbidden area and forcibly make friends with a cursed snake lady? Reiwa no Dara-san! It's a strange story to be sure, but it's a lot of fun. It's hard to describe well without spoiling things, so just read it! #manga

Breakfast at the Vivarium! One summer, a group of girls decide to document the seven mysteries of their town for a school project, but might get more than they bargained for! It's Dowman Sayman, so it's gotta be good!

Been seeing the song Where's Your Head At by Basement Jaxx on YouTube shorts a lot lately. It's a good song, but why the sudden surge in popularity?

I wanna see an adaptation of Dorohedoro that's like a 12 episode OVA from the 90s. CGI just can't capture the vibes accurately. Give it the Jing King of Bandits treatment.

Mowing always sucks, because the ground on my land is very rough, and there's lots of trees and stuff. Someday I'll go around and clean up all the fallen limbs, but in the meantime those places are just going to have to be overgrown.

Does it count as fan-fiction if it doesn't involve any canon characters or events? There's a lot of potential for cool kinky shit in Cyberpunk, but I don't really wanna try to tie it in to the story of the videogame, ya know? Like, what if there was a quickhack that could make people cum.

What's the one thing all aliens need when they come to Earth? Why, insurance of course! COSMOS is an interesting take on a Men in Black type story. It's got a nice balance of zany hijinks, neat sci-fi action, and emotional moments. #manga

For every part of Blue Prince that I really like, there's like, 5 that are incredibly frustrating. Some elements of this game are just not well designed. I also feel like the story is just doing too much. It's like they decided to just dump a bunch of stuff just to hide the 'true story'.

Maybe re-reading Soul Eater again would help with this depressive rut. Can't hurt, anyway.

I get the appeal, but I do wish writers would adapt things other than Greek mythology. Gimme some modern twists on stuff from Arabian Nights, which is somewhat less played out. I wanna see Morgiana killing thieves with hot oil and whatnot.

“dai dark” always good

Latest Dandadan, Kung Fu on a plane! Giant storm monster! Those bad guys from the volcano arc! Is DDD entering it's CSM arc!? #manga

New series on Jump! Otr of the Flame revolves around a young boy who was drafted into a war as a cook, only for the fortress he was working at to be overrun. It's by the same artist as The Hunters Guild: Red Hood, and has real nice art. Maybe this one won't get cancelled! #manga
