This happened. In a sanctuary city. A man who had lived here for 22 years, not a criminal, did have a couple of DUIs. Nothing recent. At 7:30 am going to work was stopped, put in a van, deported, they took away his phone and wallet. No one knew until he was able to borrow a phone and call his boss.

Immigrants are being deported. There’s an immigrant I know of who entered this country on a student visa and then stayed without ever enrolling as a student. Then he started working without any sort of work permit. He has broken many rules. He does not obey our laws. He is from Africa. South Africa

For whatever it’s worth I’ve made it a daily practice to contact my reps every day. It’s easy to make a quick phone call or send off an email. I think it’s important to let our senators and congressional representatives aware of how we are feeling.
