I recommend keeping face and fingerprint recognition off for your phones. Not just for when you are at protests or traveling, but always.

In preparation for whatever may come, I gave a workshop on on-the-ground secure communications strategies to an inter-generational group ranging from ages 17 to 77 today. It is because I am constantly in front of and amongst people in rooms and communities that I have so much faith in us.

Empire weaponizes perfectionism to stoke fear and condition people into inaction. We then take those messages and internalize them to think it is we who are not enough. There is no such thing as a perfect way to show up. There is no one way to show up.

Whenever they ask for my name anywhere, whether to call when my order is ready or at restaurants when they need to call out that it’s my turn, I tell them that my name is “Palestine.”

Abolish Palantir. Palantir Technologies is not a data analytics company. It is, as its own CEO and founder has stated, a “digital kill chain.”

On these streets when it is cars it is traffic, but when it is People marching, it is resistance.

People are fighting with their lives on the line in the streets of LA, the waters off Gaza, and beyond, to protect our neighbors, families, loved ones, land, lives, present and future. For what will we have left to fight for if we are not fighting by now?

Militarism does not ensure that wars do not happen, it guarantees they do. Soldiers cannot win wars, they can only keep them going. Politicians can never end wars, but they will always start them.

Having recently experienced martial law in Korea, what happened yesterday in LA, and is ongoing nationally, does not look very different.
Wikipedia says, “Martial law is the replacement of civilian government by military rule and the suspension of civilian legal processes for military powers.”

Furious feuding fools.

Some of the most persistent attacks on the trans community, originate from the gay cis community. Trans hatred from gay cis people is an assault from a place that is often considered closer and more intimate, and thus it cuts deeper and can be more dangerous.

In this liminal space between Asian Am Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month and Pride Month, a reminder that if you are both queer and AsianNHPI, then you must fight for a free Palestine. It’s in our instruction manuals.

The Korean election cycle has reached a fever pitch, and also politician fatigue, all at once. Early voting has begun, with Election Day on Tuesday.

Ward wandering through flames high above her head. Sidra’s partial tiny torso hooked on the side of a demolished building. Hind’s terrified pleading for help as her loved ones were shot beside her. Ahmed’s arms and legs flailing while engulfed in fire.

A reminder for us to not fall into the age-old trap of vilifying countries that Empire has told us are its “enemies.” Empire itself is our most nefarious enemy.

For those of us within the Imperial Core, we must pull the very rug out from underneath ourselves. Brace each other, as this is how we lift each other to new ground.

In 2012, Trayvon Martin's murderer, George Zimmerman, was acquitted. As part of the response, the world marched and screamed because Black lives matter. This movement for Black lives set the stage for 5 years ago, 5.25.2020, amidst the peaking pandemic,

Be mindful online, in person, and with each other. Remember that Empire is scraping, screening, stretching, and twisting our words, actions, and communications, for any excuse to take on all who challenge Empire. Be vigilant as always about instigators and infiltrators.

For those of us in the Imperial Core, our connection to the violence against the people and land of the Congo is so palpably direct. Capitalist colonialism has strapped us to this violence directly through our devices, cars, batteries, and everyday items.

Empire is choosing to commit genocide in Gaza. It is a willful and deliberate decision. It is the government, churches, politicians, universities, non-profits, and individuals, too.

Adriana Smith. May the world have the rage to fight.

I recommend AGAINST having your eyeball scanned for biometric recognition. Even more so, I HIGHLY recommend AGAINST having your eyeball scanned by World (fka Worldcoin). Resharing this warning I made a couple of years ago about the World Orb. Still against it. youtube.com/shorts/Vl-tH...

I recommend AGAINST using Partiful. Not only are their privacy practices atrocious, Partiful is made up of several former Palantir staff. Palantir tech has active relationships with IOF and ICE. There is no reason to use Partiful. There is every reason not to.

They could have been awesome, but they chose to be oppressors instead. That was an intentional choice they made. Don’t be like them.

I covered this a couple of years ago, and Sam Altman changing the name from WorldCoin to World still does not make the iris-scanning orb okay. It is still a military defense-supporting, capitalist Big Tech company taking your biometrics. I recommend against this.

On this Mother’s Day, do not forget to love the mother you become to yourself.

Ending Islamophobia is one of the biggest fights we have in front of us worldwide. Anti-Muslim sentiment is pervasive across continents, people, races, and even within communities that view themselves as "progressive."

I never asked for peace. I demand liberation.
