Upcoming vote on assisted suicide, so it’s important to clarify terms of debate. I’m not convinced by how we use the word dignity. Human beings cannot ‘lose’ their dignity through physical or mental incapacity. People suffer dreadfully but dignity is fundamental to our human nature.
