Miserable February weather and geopolitics, so time for a bit of weekend board game escapism.

Today in 21st century #boardgames drama: Phil Eklund is being deported by the far right Sweden Democrats for (what he claims is) his “pro-immigration and anti-racist” views.

For no particular reason, here are some boardgames where you get to fight fascists. 🧵

Top 10 films I chanced upon this year that anticipate & hallucinate our collective futures: 1. C'est Pas Moi (2024) - Leos Carax "dreams of Godard" in this playful, metatextual essay film on haunting images. 2. Last Things (2023) - Debra Stratman's experiments in speculative geology & literature.

In 1966, Agnés Varda recruited 3 teens, including 18-year-old Gérard Depardieu, for a screen test of “Christmas Carole” - an unfinished “moral fable loosely based on Dickens.” youtu.be/6uplWItNd-o
