We had planned to go out for supper this evening but after a wonderful few days away and a long delay on the M25, we decided to pop into M&S get some pizzas and stay in for our . Have a fabulous Easter weekend!

Some of the transient Barnacle Geese are still hanging on in North Uist. Spotted this albino / leucistic bird in the distance on Vallay today whilst on the 10th had radio-collared DAF and NUK at nearby Griminish #birds #birdingscotland

Morning 😊 A few small jobs first thing and then maybe a bit of golf with my son, before an afternoon & evening in front of the tv watching ⚽️⚒️ and the final round of The Masters ⛳️ Hopefully you’re all able to relax, rest and recharge today 🤞🏽 Have a super Sunday people 😊💙

🔥OUCH! Farage’s "biggest rally in history" flopped. - empty seats, protests, and ejections marked the weird night in Birmingham.

“President Donald Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call that he was “not joking” about a third term.” Of course. We all knew it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Everything else he’s done so far in this term has been copy-paste from the Ye Olde Fascist Takeover Manual, so this will probably barely register in the media.

This weekend has been all about our garden. 🌷I weeded our flower bed with tulips in & added some lobelia as contrast planting. 🌺 All of my dahlia tubers are in pots or bags. 🪓 We have cut back brambles & dead wood to create larger flower beds 💐I planted out some lupins grown from seed & a verbena. 🌱

Ministers have pledged to “tear down” barriers to trade with the European Union after new figures showed Brexit has cost UK business a staggering £37bn a year www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Five years ago today - at the start of the first lockdown - this fella came to live with us. Basil has basically been asleep ever since. But we love him. Note how he grew into his paws…. 🐾

Michael Gove on June 21st 2016, two days before the Brexit referendum, "By voting to leave, we can not only take back control of hundreds of millions that we sent to the European Union, we will also be detaching ourselves from the sinking ship that is the European Union economy"

Pete Buttigieg breaks down DEI for everyday folks… “The opposite of diversity is uniformity. The opposite of equity is inequity. The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.” @petebuttigieg.bsky.social Our problem: too many value uniformity over inclusion and they’re the ones running the government. 🧵

On the way to visit the Chalice Well gardens, Glastonbury Tor rising up to meet a blue March sky. The spring water tasted of iron (the teenagers said blood - they are so dramatic!). On the way back from our Exeter trip last weekend.

St John’s Church, #Duxford #Cambridgeshire Central tower of a once cruciform church. Thin single light Norman windows of c.1100. The belfry above has two light windows of c. 1280. The “spike” is crooked. Maybe, in 1897 a flagpole twisted in a gale. @duxfordstjohns.bsky.social #SteepleSaturday

I just asked the newsagent for a Boost and a Twirl So he span round 3 times and said "I love your hair cut, Dave"

#SpringEquinox 🌞 One of my favourite snippets of Welsh folklore 🔮 In some parts of Wales, daffodils are known as 'babies' bells.' People say that only infants and very young children can hear them ringing 🛎 #Wales #History

A cute and innocent-looking Robin... or so it seems 😁 Don’t be fooled, this one’s a fighter! 🥊 There are three Robins in the area, and they’re not holding back. Full-on wrestling tussles right on the ground. #ukbirding #birdphotography #nature #wildlifephotography #photography #art

Experts have raised concerns that Ofsted’s plans to inspect inclusion don't include assessing how representative a school’s intake is compared with local SEND needs

I celebrated my birthday on the Norfolk Broads today. Because I am RE McGee we visited St Benet’s Abbey. www.norfarchtrust.org.uk/project/st-b...

I grew up with a strong female role model (my mum) and then 3 sisters (2 older, 1 younger) who all massively inspire me, a truly amazing daughter, as well as having 2 fantastic nieces - it’s International Women’s Day, but we should be celebrating women and challenging gender stereotypes every day 👍🏽

Very pleased with this broccoli. Purple sprouting takes *ages* to grow and it needs netting but the crop is well worth it, especially at a time when there's nothing else to harvest. 🌱

I sit in constant amazement at the positivity and goodwill I have (somehow) gathered on this platform. I never thought the support I managed to engender on Twitter/X could ever be repeated. I was wrong. Thank you, you damn fine folk! 🙌

Wonderful footage. I love wrens. ♥️

It was a busy day today. Went for a morning hike. Fixed the hot water heater. Edited photos from a recent photoshoot for a client. Now, for some intellectual conversations with Hazel while I have a tea.

Sowed some seeds on the #allotment in the glorious sunshine. Leeks, spring onions, carrots, cabbages, radishes and peas. All looking neat and tidy for the season! 🌱

From The Guardian. We need more of this. A hug is worth a thousand words and more. I am no big Starmer fan, but all credit to him for showing and sharing his humanity with this incredible leader outside no.10 today.

I can't stand bullies. President Zelensky is now trying to stand up against two of them. We should have his back. #SlavaUkraïni

This is Winston Churchill visiting the White House during World War II. Funny how he isn’t wearing a suit either. Almost like he was a wartime leader defending his country from being slaughtered and wiped out by an authoritarian aggressor.

From the perspective of someone who helps to run a preschool, the reason fees are going up is the gap between the funded entitlement and our costs. The minimum wage is going up by 6.7% and most of our costs are staffing. We're a charity so we don't make a profit. Still hard to make it sustainable.

“The EU wasn’t formed to screw anyone. Quite the opposite. It was formed to maintain peace, to build respect among our nations, to create free and fair trade, and to strengthen our transatlantic friendship. As simple as that.” Donald Tusk, Polish PM
