thanks UK government, it's really great that UK peeps get less protection for our data; this is an embarrassment and good on Apple for making it so public what the consequences of terrible tech policies are. time for the government to back down and let us have good technology.

Microsoft's big quantum gamble pays off: they were harder to build (and about as hard to understand!) but Microsoft's topological qubits are more effective, easier to control - and will probably help design their own replacements.
