Man if this budget resolution gets passed disabled people are so fucked. I sure do hope people are being vocal about it

Really upsetting stunning article where Avi Nath goes on the record with the names of people at Merck and Bristol Myers Squibb who denied him drugs to test his immune checkpoint inhibitor theory of Long Covid. Post-viral illness still has a serious image problem. cen.acs.org/pharmaceutic...

If Luigi gets off then will that start a manhunt for billionaires?

The HR manager that helped lay me off was a black disabled woman that stonewalled my accommodations process and sided with my able bodied managers on almost every issue. I was fired as soon as the accommodations went through. If that isn’t lateral ableism I don’t know what is.

Just a reminder that Dems capitulating to you-do-you public health measures is what paved the way for RFK to enter office

What is South Korea doing to its entertainment talent? Feels like so many of them end up dead because of scandals or blackmail or other tragedies. More reason not to worship celebrities or the structures that prop them up.

God this is fucking infuriating

Them: "Covid doesn't infect the brain! Covid doesn't infect the brain!" The brain: (yeah, that's my image showing neurons infected with Covid, as featured on the cover of UC Davis Neurology review of the year) With @1goodtern.bsky.social

An upcoming SCOTUS case could make it harder for disabled kids and their families to sue schools for disability discrimination. New from me at @motherjones.com. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

I’m glad Super Saiyan 4 is canon now.

South Carolina AG Alan Wilson will withdraw from #TexasVBecerra if the lawsuit is not withdrawn, reports The Post and Courier. South Carolina is one of 17 states listed in the lawsuit that, in part, aims to declare #Section504 unconstitutional. The Post and Courier, archive link: archive.ph/YtXrq

Tesla's stock is ridiculously overvalued, and even a modest consumer boycott could tank the company, which accounts for the majority of Elon Musk's wealth. The divestment movement weakened apartheid South Africa. Let's do that again. slate.com/business/202...

Right winger saw my profile today and commented “LONG COVID? 😂😂😂😂😂 Put a new tampon in and get back to work, Sally” in case you’re still wondering how misogyny and ableism intersect

Liberals: Why don’t people understand these critical issues and keep voting in ways that directly negatively impacts them? NYTimes: paywall WSJ: paywall WaPo: paywall Business Insider: paywall The Guardian: paywall Fox News: open Newsmax: open OAN: open Liberals: It’s such a mystery.

Seriously, this. If there’s no pretext of abiding by anything legal, the only solution is illegal

Do people think that DT is going to leave office peaceably without some form of violent protest? This is a president who doesn’t care about laws. I think if you’re not reconsidering what “works” here you’re approaching the problem wrong.

COVID denial to attacks on NIH and universities now: yes, there is a direct line. Jay Bhattacharya is a living instantiation of that line. He's the Trump NIH director nominee *because* he denied science to help Republicans. And the same billionaires paid for both. 1/

FilmSky needs to post less letterboxd reviews and more stills from films.

The NIH capping the indirect cost rate (IDC) for grants at 15% can best be described as a direct assault on Universities. It’s such a bureaucratic, innocuous sounding thing that actually means that research universities will be kneecapped. Thousands of employees across the US will lose their jobs.

Korea's attempted coup was no less dangerous or politically protected by career opportunists and cowards than the current coup in the US was. It was shut down in 6 hours. The president was in jail within weeks. It's only impossible to resist if you are convinced it is impossible to resist.

Calling your reps really is the new thoughts and prayers at this point

“Accurate information on how many people in a community die from COVID, or any other cause—is essential for making decisions about public health. It is also important for families. Everyone deserves to know why a loved one died.”

The biggest sin of Dragon Age: Veilguard is that there is no replayable kiss scene. I said it.

Here is what the censoring of data.cdc.gov looks like over time

I think organizers should read "Let The Record Show" for lots of reasons not least is the reminder that when taking direct action you must always push an actual CONCRETE demand. You have to have targets and you must tell those targets: WE DEMAND THAT YOU DO THIS [THIS has to be a concrete thing].

The policy lead for CDC's H5N1 response has abruptly resigned. Sources tell me CDC's response to the bird flu pandemic has been severely hobbled by the chaos of the past two weeks.

Big, but the balls need to be bigger.

UK: Rise in UK economic inactivity since Covid is genuine, says ONS chief. "Sir Ian Diamond, the UK’s national statistician was “very confident” in data showing that the number of people neither in work nor looking for work due to ill health had risen to some 2.8mn since Covid-19" archive.md/gc1kQ
