The type of cuts Trump has allowed Elon and "DOGE" to make will cause deaths. None of the deaths will be so easily attributed to Elon and the Trump administration, but it is still a death put into motion by their reckless actions Trying telling the decedent's family that social murder isn't murder

Real "actually, since I pay taxes, the firefighters should be thanking ME!" energy from the White House today Unfortunately, today's exchange was unbelievably believable

I understand recency bias is a thing, but Severance might be the best show I've ever seen? Masterpiece of an episode this week, wow

Shout out to Diana Taurasi My GOAT

I would happily vote for Mr. Miller regardless of who he's running against. But you tell me it might be against Ryan Walters and I may have to find a way to vote twice

*me trying to explain the Kendrick-Drake beef to my parents before the halftime show*

When people make the Hitler comparisons, it's because of stuff like this This is horrifying, and I truly, truly hope this is the extent of it. But I fear it's not.

@bryancurtis.bsky.social @thepressbox.bsky.social I feel like David would appreciate this as the Strained Pun Headline

I'm sure I'm not the first to make the comparison, but the whole "the Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf of America" thing has real "Twitter is now X" energy

Rest in peace. Will always remember accidentally coming across him performing at a Tulsa frat house while I was walking across campus. He was rapping "2 Step" when one of the freshman basketball players walked up next to me and asked me who it was.

Wikipedia's featured article today seems... Fitting

We have re-entered the Dunking Dog Era

I'd like to think I'm generally a pretty tuned-in sports fan But I've been watching this UCF-Arizona basketball game for 10 minutes thinking "hmm, kinda a weird matchup for these teams to be playing" before it hit me that they're IN THE SAME CONFERENCE

@bryancurtis.bsky.social curious if you know why football announcers are sometimes holding a football in the booth. Is it to calm nerves? Is it supposed to give legitimacy to the guy handling it on camera? Inspired by CBS' Charles Davis having one in the booth during this Texans-Chargers game

Enjoying watching the Thunder-Cavs game re-airing on NBA TV. What beautiful basketball

This first 12 team CFB playoff has been great for basically everyone except for the "SEC! SEC!" people and ESPN Which is why I have no doubt they're gonna change it immediately

Alright guys, I'll give it a try to make this one close like the others. "Wow! Oregon is just getting demolished by Ohio State! The Ducks don't even deserve to be there!"

You can take Sark out of Alabama, but I guess you can't take the bad Bama kicker juju out of Sark

The Texas I remember is so back

I feel like every playoff game this bowl season has gone "Wow, I knew that *favorite* was gonna blow out *underdog*. *Underdog* just didn't have a chance", only for the underdog to make it a close game Penn State-Boise, Indiana-Notre Dame, and Texas-ASU right now

Imagine watching these playoffs and thinking they would have been better if they only managed to squeeze a couple more SEC/Big 10 teams in there

The European mind canno–

The Pop-Tarts Bowl was great for both the game, and also all the ridiculousness that is the sentient, borderline cosmic horror mascots that are somehow always present around the bowl environment

Did some math for funsies Elon could give $303,000 to every homeless person in America and STILL be the richest person in the world (net worth from Forbes; homeless count from US HUD)

@rodger.bsky.social NBC with a solid observation that Vikings are, in fact, lethal at sea

Not even fact checking this. This make me feel good, so it is my truth

Delighting in this SMU collapse right now Christmas came early for me!

the feds: stop trying to turn this guy into some cool antihero with a badass public image also the feds: *treat him like they’ve captured the joker*

It has been a, uh, difficult week but I have not laughed louder and harder at something in a very long time than at this.

If this Tulsa men's team plays the way they have today against UCF, they should be alright in the AAC. With no Barnes or Garcia, going against a good UCF team with a footer, they showed some good fight! Lots to clean up still, but I'm encouraged by today's result after a rough last few weeks

Elden Ring Nightreign?! Hello?!

No disrespect to Coach Lamb's ETSU guys, but holding on to Switzer and Franks on the Tulsa football staff is awesome Excited to see who else he brings on, but the staff is already shaping up to be young, hungry, and great recruiters

Excited for the youthful, (hopefully) up-and-comer energy Tre Lamb brings to Tulsa football Curious about all the ETSU fans at his last school seemingly upset he's leaving, yet also trashing his record during his time there?

SMU making a big comeback with a near last second touchdown only to give up a big kick return and lose on a long field goal is hilarious Bless their poor little hearts

Has Penn State ever beaten a team ranked higher than them? Ever?

One of the NYPD brass said “this isn’t blue bloods” when explaining they can’t just immediately find the guy and I like that years of copaganda have set standards cops can’t meet and might be contributing to people’s correct perception that cops don’t effectively stop crime or find killers.

I can't believe I'm rooting for Dabo tonight?

Seems like this has been rolled back after backlash, but the nerve to even try this is sickening
