What is it that makes far right politicians look like bemused haystacks?

I just took a look at the most recent ABS stats for Canberra. If I define working age as 20-64, 63% of the ACT population is in that range, giving a total working population of just under 300k in the ACT. (If I included 65-69, it goes up to 66.9% and 318k; not hugely different)

Awww yeah in post-Easter chocs, Haighs had the broken egg bags out

I keep waiting for a classic Roy Morgan bounce and we haven’t had one since early March. Seems like the poll is having way too much fun teasing everyone.

Congratulations to the AAP sub who got “succulent Chinese meal” into the subhead of this article on Albanese’s campaigning.

Francis staying alive long enough to tell jd Vance he’s a bad catholic… that’s why he’s the goat pope

There has been a fair bit of speculation going on around the potential for Peter Dutton to lose Dickson at the coming election, given polling numbers. If Dutton lost Dickson, he would be the first federal opposition leader to lose his seat and only the third major party leader to lose federally.

André’s reviews always amusing and are going to cover all parties running. I’m also reviewing but focusing on the NSW ballot.

Dutton's electoral strategy at the moment feels like a robot vacuum cleaner: he keeps bumping into things, spinning wildly, backtracking and heading off in another random direction until he again bumps into something

Good evening folks! Here for the Hommes race after Paris-Roubaix Femmes yesterday. A good evening to get some writing done as we wait for the pave.

Good evening folks! Put my books down, time for my favourite race of the year

No, this isn’t a story from 2022. The AEC really had had to refer Rod Culleton to the AFP *again* for making a false declaration in his candidacy nomination

I've got to say, being in my 'do things because they sound interesting and I want to try them' era is feeling pretty good. Booking to do the activity organised by Council, even if it seems daggy and I'll be the youngest there; having season tickets for the theatre; trying new things and saying yes.

How Liberal policies make you feel

Everytime I look at recent polling data I think Cyclone Alfred stopped the ALP making a huge unforced error. The extra three weeks looks like it may save some seats.
