The Trump admin has cancelled the panels that approve NIH grants, & is also banning scientists from communicating with the public, attending conferences, and hiring. My old friend Tree. She stood at the confluence for a century. Finally fell just a few years ago. I tried so hard to do her justice and always tried for a good shot. Never quite sure I actually got it. I'm going to miss that old tree, she challenged me to be a better photographer.
