Cactus rose. A true cactus with thorns and leaves. Grows into a shrub about 3 x 3 ft. Blooms throughout the year. 🌴

🌴Beautiful dendrobium in bloom. Pity that the flowers don’t last long, but it is worth the wait.

Nothing like a big old lavender cattleya orchid in bloom. Great fragrance.

Finishing up this watercolor of hellebores. I am keeping the background loose and out of focus.

New watercolor of palms.

In watercolor class this week, our reference included a figure. Some techniques I like about this, the use of red, a difficult watercolor pigment, the background glow, and the use of negative painting.

Finished this fun watercolor in class today. Shared how to do this type of background.
