Yooka Laylee & the Impossible Lair was NOT false advertisement. Such a good game. I'm baffled I waited so long to play. I've been on a huge DKC rush lately. Replayed 1 and 2, then finally played Impossible Lair. I'm finally going to 100% Tropical Freeze next, havent played in a bazillion years

One thing I will always try to do is respect the audience/player. I think a good example of this is Disco Elysium. So much of the NPCs could seemingly be incoherently rambling. But it all comes together in a satisfying way. The writers trusted the player to enjoy the ride and dumbed down nothing.

I think January was the best dev month I ever did. I didn't miss a single day. The time I spent working on games was about 75 hours. I got into a zone where it didn't even feel like I was overworking. It was fun and something I wanted to do each day. Definitely a good healthy escape here and there
