The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook by Matt Dinniman 3.14/5⭐️ This one is solid and I’m glad I continued the series but it’s a bit confusing? The way the game is set up is so convoluted it takes more effort than I like to follow. I’ll read the next one, though! Stick by Carl a little more #booksky

Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater 4.79/5⭐️ It’s perfect, everybody read it. It’s so cute; my giggling was frankly embarrassing. I’ll officially read anything Olivia Atwater writes based simply on how much I loved this book. #booksky

Paladin’s Strength by T. Kingfisher 2.79/5⭐️ Even though I rated this one lower than the first one, I do think the characters are better? But I can only go through the “angsting without talking about it” thing once before I’m tired of it, so I didn’t actually enjoy this one as much. #booksky

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopeadia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett 4.29/5⭐️ I enjoyed this a lot but I really think I’m biased because of how much the love interest reminds me of Howl lol I’d recommend this highly to anyone who likes stories that center around fairytales #booksky

The Book of Elsewhere by China Miélville & Keanu Reeves 2.14/5⭐️ I thought I’d like this one a lot more; I like Weird Fiction sort of things. I felt this one should have focused on plot or character study but it tried to do both and they each suffered for it. #booksky

Iron Gold by Pierce Brown 4.76/5⭐️ I love the characters in this book. Pierce Brown, you’re a beast. The farther I get into this series, it might be my favorite… #booksky

I’m so behind on rating books that I’d probably give up on it if it wasn’t one of my New Year’s resolutions on my bingo card. Time to get it done, I suppose 😪

March Wrap-Up is a big improvement on finishing barely 3 books in February lol #booksky

Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher 3.07/5⭐️ I’ve read a lot of Kingfisher books, so this one kinda caught me off guard with how horny it is lol I had a good time, but I don’t feel like this book met its full potential. I’ll still continue the series and see how it goes. #booksky

A Dowry of Blood by ST Gibson 4.57/5⭐️ I really loved this book!! Really short, so easy to get through in one sitting. I kind of expected to be thrown off by the second person POV, but I wasn’t at all. I could read prose like this all day from any perspective. And I’ll read anything poly #booksky

Anyone have recommendations for comedy/horror books? Something in the vein of WTNV? Bonus points if the audiobook is good lol #booksky

Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson 5.00/5⭐️ My feelings on this book transcend the capacity for human communication. Tbh I’m actually upset that I’ve read it now because I feel like I’ve peaked and will never reach this level again? #booksky

A Sorceress Comes to Call by T Kingfisher 4.43/5⭐️ This one became my favorite Kingfisher book! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the dynamic of Gothel and Rapunzel in Tangled. It’s a good fantasy read with a horror twist, as most Kingfisher books are. #booksky

Not to be talking about Stick Season lyrics in the year of our Lord 2025, but sometimes “I saw the end, it looked just like the middle” hits all over again and just as hard as the first time #NoahKahan

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones 5.00/5⭐️ Most bias 5-star any book has ever gotten, but I don’t care lol This is my first re-read of HMC for this year and I gave up counting how many total times I’ve read it after the twentieth time. The most was three times in one year, though #booksky

Mickey7 by Edward Ashton 1.86/5⭐️ This book was just pretty boring to me? I didn’t find the characters or plot interesting. If it wasn’t so short, I think I would have found it unbearable. Some people might enjoy it, but to me it’s mid. #booksky

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett 4.14/5⭐️ I’m probably the least qualified person to review a mystery novel, but I liked this one! I enjoyed the characters. I adore a barely-there romance subplot that just happens to be gay. I’ll definitely read the next book when it comes out! #booksky

“There is such a thing as evil in this world. It does not help to look away from it. It does not even help necessarily to look /at/ it. But sometimes, when you cannot force the world to come to its senses, you must settle only for wiping away some of the small evils in front of you.”

Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater 4.64/5⭐️ Maybe that’s a bit high, but I don’t care because that’s just how charmed and delighted I am by this book. It was so refreshing and relaxing; I can’t recommend it enough! I’m so excited to read more of Atwater’s works after this one. #booksky

Carl’s Doomsday Scenario by Matt Dinniman 2.43/5⭐️ This one fell off a bit from how much I enjoyed the first one, but it was still fun. I’ll still be reading the third book in the series. #booksky

Excellent read. Definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig 2.07/5 ⭐️ I lowkey feel bad for rating it this low, but I just really didn’t enjoy it that much. The pacing was the worst part, but there were a lot of problems that I had. Unfortunately, I think this will be the last time I even think about this series #booksky

Considering how hyped up The Shepard King duology is on booktok, it’s got me wondering if I even really like romantasy… I didn’t have a strong opinion about the first one, but I’m having a pretty bad time with the second one #booksky

My toxic trait is that my favorite character trope is “the Protector that failed”. It’s the most delicious agony. What’s your diabolical fave? #booksky And bonus is you have recs that feature this type of character

I’m going to get ahead of this before I see people on #booksky making a fuss about storygraph’s use of AI. While storygraph uses AI, they’re using entire in-house models utilizing what seems to be a combo of a large language model and machine learning classification which is very different.

I made 60+ new friends in 12 hours. All these beautiful people read diversely and are smaller accounts on #bluesky There's 150 spots in a starter pack so I'll keep adding people as I find them 🥰. Show my new friends some love! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 go.bsky.app/rDUDBA

I thought DNFing was supposed to feel freeing? I feel so guilty #booksky

The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu DNF at 56% I probably would’ve DNF’d this at 20% if not for my experience with The Three-Body Problem. Maybe I’ll try to come back to it, but I don’t know. The style of the book makes it so…impersonal? I don’t feel connected with the characters or the world #booksky

@audiobookscom.bsky.social Does Audiobooks.com web player not have an option to adjust playback speed or am I an idiot?

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson 5.00/5 ⭐️ It was, in fact, the best book I’ve ever read. It’s kind of blowing my mind that most people say the second book is better because this one is already basically perfect in my mind? I’m buzzing with excitement to start the next one. #booksky

Angels Before Man by Rafael Nicolás 2.79/5 ⭐️ This book felt more like a piece of art than a story? Like I should be judging it more like a painting than a novel, so I don’t really know how to rate it with a number. I definitely liked it! It gets very messy in a confusing way at the end. #booksky

I’m not done with it yet but I really think The Way of Kings is the best book I’ve ever read? #BrandonSanderson #booksky

One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig 3.14/5 ⭐️ I liked this one well enough, but it’s extremely overhyped on booktok. I heard the second book brings the series over the top so I’ll withhold my judgement for now #booksky
