So if I understand this correctly, the security of this hinges on the users ability to be a good custodian of their private keys? Interesting project but unfortunately I don't see how it really solves for decentralized identity if it has the same Achilles heel as PGP or blockchain wallets

What you're referring to as Bluesky, is in fact, ATProto/Bluesky, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Bluesky on ATProto. Bluesky is not a social network unto itself, but rather another app view, made useful by the PDS servers and relays, comprising a federated network as defined by ATProto.

It never stops to amaze me how many folks tell me they can't consider moving away from React because [ other thing ] isn't "production ready" while in the middle of death march to port to whatever the untested new hotness is (CSS-in-JS, function components, the dozenth router, RSC, ISR, etc. etc.)
