Today we took up a bill to ban trans people from bathrooms and prevent them from playing sports. Pope Francis welcomed trans people to the Vatican, and recognized their dignity. If he can do that, what’s stopping us? Discomfort is not a license to legislate cruelty. #NELeg

This is, in addition to very obviously denying people benefits and clearly excluding the vast majority of seniors, a violation of federal law on accessibility, especially since X requires users to log in and agree to the terms of service to see published content.
