Ukraine has successfully conducted a complex operation that simultaneously attacked four Russian airbases at the same time and more than 40 of Russia's strategic bomber fleet has been destroyed. Russia's losses are estimated so far at $2.2 billion in aircraft they can no longer produce or replace.

Putin's personal advisor is now claiming that the Soviet Union still legally exists and therefore the war in Ukraine is an internal Soviet dispute. Trump gives up on a ceasefire after Putin told him "no" and Trump does not want to sanction Russia, but Congress is going to do it anyways.

Trump and Putin held a 2 hour phone conversation on Monday and Trump refused to apply pressure on Russia for a ceasefire and instead talked about improving trade relations with Russia. But the Russians do not appear interested seriously engaging with Trump or stopping this war.

Russia demanded to hold direct peace talks with Ukraine to avoid new sanctions being placed on Russia. Trump told Ukraine to go to Turkey, so President Zelensky went to meet with Putin to engage in direct talks and end the war. Putin then chickened out and refused to go to Turkey.
