I've created a script for the @pimoroni.com presto that interrogates an online AI image generator and generates #synthwave style cityscapes, saves them to sd card, then gives you an endless gallery displaying then every 7 seconds forvever and ever and ever.

Met an old post-grad colleague today visiting from Brazil, and got to check out the @shefrobotics.bsky.social lab again. I'm amazed my PhD robot is still out on display! A little bit sun kissed, but still looks functional. I'd do so many things differently if I were to do it now 😅

All credit to Ryan for this awesome screen zone based backlight code. I optimised the heck out of it to get the backlight effect from ~20ms per frame down to ~4.4ms with a 64 sample average for each LED. And as much credit to @rebelmike.bsky.social for the display driver code! RP2350 runtimes!
