Reading @aptshadow.bsky.social 's Service Model. I'm enjoying it, and Adrian's a heck of an author, but I feel like I'm playing through Douglas Adam's Bureaucracy while reading it. (Which isn't a bad thing)

@scalzi.com A quick thank you. I don't know anyone else who opens up their platform the way do, once a year, on Whatever for people to recommend work by other authors. I discovered The Steerswoman series thanks to that. It was fantastic. It's an awesome thing you do. Thank you.

I was at a cafe (on the patio, cause) yesterday, & the nice waiter kept miscounting the # of chairs we needed (Mr Leckie had done the same 30 seconds earlier so no shade) saying 6 when it was 5 and I wanted to say "5 is RIGHT OUT" but it didn't exactly fit plus I figured he was too young to get it.
