In light of the news that DOJ leadership is forcing career prosecutors to either dismiss the criminal case against Eric Adams or be fired, it seems like a good time to remind everyone that the judge can refuse to dismiss. That rule exists precisely in order to prevent corrupt dismissals.

This is demented.

BREAKING: Elon Musk and his team of teenagers posted classified data about a federal intelligence agency on the DOGE website. Experts are scrambling to see what was exposed. What a disaster.

DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸

am i losing my mind or is the president openly bribing a mayor with dropped charges right in front of us? and now we're just gonna watch the mayor pay it off and no ones going to do anything? is that whats happening?

Do people not understand what’s happening with the Eric Adams thing? The memo instructing the prosecution to be dropped explicitly said it was because he was carrying out the president’s agenda. It was “you’re working for me, so we’re letting you go.” It was an explicitly corrupt bargain

New in PN: Trump and his lawyers embrace the logic of dictatorship "The arguments being made by the administration boil down to this: if Trump wants to do it, he gets to. Their stance appears to literally be that laws are irrelevant in the face of Trump’s wishes and the courts can’t stop him."

Diversity is a fact: All kinds of people exist. Equity is a goal: All kinds of people deserve a chance at success. Inclusion is how we get to equity. By including them, they can achieve success. It's that simple.

Canadian MP Charlie Angus: He choked. The market started to tank, and suddenly, he said, “Oh, didn’t you guys already have a plan to deal with the border back in December? I love that—I’ll take that.” This is Mr. Art of the Deal.

We are experiencing a hostile government takeover. Period!

Murphy: "This is a constitutional crisis that we are in today. Let's call it what it is."

Marco Rubio is visiting Panama this weekend to try to annex the Panama Canal. Panama is currently bracing for an American invasion and is warning there could be mass casualties. The U.S. is acting like Russia when it invaded Ukraine—and is making the world less safe in the process.

Draw your own conclusions, but Donald Trump is not behaving like a leader who expects democratic accountability for himself or his party next year or in 2028.

I think this is the right sentiment about a lot of things but not about inflation. The levels that followed the pandemic were enough to crush incumbents, and did all over the world.

Trump starts pointless trade war. Canada threatens to retaliate by withholding electricity from the US. Trump’s press sec says this is fine because Jesus didn’t have electricity. Literally the dumbest possible timeline.

Donald Trump signing a memorandum to try and blame Biden and DEI for the DCA plane crash is appalling. HIS policies to gut aviation safety put American lives in danger.

This is a profoundly depraved response to a national tragedy, there's no other way to say it

PLEASE NOTE: Bribes are now called "settlements."

The head of the FAA, Mike Whitaker, resigned on January 20 — one year into his 5 year term — after facing relentless criticism from Musk for not approving SpaceX missions quickly enough. The Senate confirmed him unanimously in 2023. No acting FAA head has been appointed.

I don’t know if you’ve spoken to any air traffic controllers but the long running staffing shortage clearly isn’t a DEI thing it’s a “who the fuck would want to do this job with these insane hours and level of responsibility for this kind of money” thing

OK, you can't have it both ways, Donald. You can't stupidly brag about how you ended DEI to bring back safety at the FAA and then stupidly blame DEI the first time there is a crash on your watch.

I am very sorry to be the one to remind you of this but it's only been 10 days. 10 DAYS.

The FAA is understaffed and Donald Trump put a hiring freeze on them. He has blood on his hands.

➡️ January 20: FAA director fired ➡️ January 21: Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen ➡️ January 22: Aviation Safety Advisory Committee disbanded ➡️ January 28: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees ➡️ January 29: First American mid-air collision in 16 years Making America Great Again!

Trump wants to distract you from the fact that he gutted the Aviation Safety Committee and ousted the FAA administrator last week. Don’t let him.

Fourteen hours before the crash. 👇

Donald Trump fired the head of TSA. He illegally fired the entire Aviation Security Advisory Committee mandated by Congress. And he put a hiring freeze on FAA air traffic controllers. The buck stops with him.

While MAGAs and Trump are taking a victory lap over the Colombia fiasco….this is what actually happened there
